Vex Mythoclast
Reduced Damage base stat to compensate for improved Stability (by -13%)
Dafuq? It's going to do 39* to the head now, and require an additional shot to kill..Remember that era where it was garbage because you didn't buff the precision damage correctly? It's now back to those damage values.
Good job kicking a weak weapon while it's already down. Guess it's up to the garbage Year 2 standards now.
*EDIT for Cozmo: Actually went into the Crucible and used it the moment the update finished for me, and my general assumption was correct although I was off on the base damage numbers. It dropped from 41 -> 39, not to 38 like I thought it would. This actually lets a user use Aggressive Ballistics to maintain the old five-shot kill with precision hits and eight-shot kill with body shots, which would've been the saving grace to this damage nerf, but unfortunately Aggressive Ballistics received a Stability nerf which doesn't quite balance out with the Stability buff the Vex Mythoclast received. Using it with Aggressive Ballistics manages to give worse recoil than when you used Smart Drift Control pre-Stability buff, so don't even bother unless you want to use it in Titan Melee range. Linear Compensator and Smart Drift Control are both viable options now, one maximizing Stability while the other maximizes range so long as you use Send It. Using Linear Compensator with Send It actually gives it some surprising range, but the increased time to kill on the weapon is painful and causes you to lose gunfights the pre-nerf Vex Mythoclast would've won.
tl;dr
Aggressive Ballistics would've evened out this nerf, but is practically unusable due to the Stability nerf it got. Linear Compensator is now usable and you can maximize the range of the weapon to use it at pretty decent distances in conjunction with Send It, but the nerf to its time to kill is painfully noticeable.

105 RespuestasIt's getting a buff to stability. Give it a try to see what the net change is and post your feedback.

10 RespuestasOh thank heavens they nerfed more year 1 weapons because that's what people have been unhappy about. I know I got upset whenever I looked at my Vex setting in the armory with its year one stats. This weapon is far too powerful for any guardian, I must never use it. Please do something about the Word of Crota as well. It can't hit the ground if it fell out of a tree but it still looks pretty scary and the stat bars are intimating. Can it be nerfed too. I'm concerned about the wastefulness of ammo by other guardians. Limiting heavy was a start but I want just one mag for each weapon each week. We have limited resources at the Tower and need to conserve. Also I want my guardian to be able to change into a rain cloud when I feel sad. Why is this not happening?

1 RespuestaLol Community: "We want Y1 weapons!!!" Bungie: "I heard 'nerf fusion rifles.' Did you hear that? Yup. Let's nerf fusion rifles."
-
Dude, how much do these fûcking assholes hate Year 1? Answer: A fûcking lot.
-
I actually used it with smart drift control and i was doing work, still has a fast ttk
-
I just wish Bungie would equip a 6-man clash fireteam with the DoP and another with the Vex, then report how a game on the Drifter or Thieve's Den turned out. I know how it would turn out... OP guns trump skill....
-
Did you mean Nerf fusion rifles? Because Vex was Op even though its year one!
-
Player "what the... Why won't you kill?" Bungie "well at least you don't miss."

3 RespuestasEditado por The Blind Wizard: 4/13/2016 10:44:43 PMIt was just too good. Look at the graphs; everybody was using it. The sandbox team is all about giving people options!

4 RespuestasBungie has already stated that the Vex wasn't to be caught up in fusion rifles nerfs and buffs, with that being said there is no buff. They just threw the Vex into the ground with Ghally,Icebreaker,Thorn,Pocket Infinity And why mess up the Queen Breakers Bow?

3 RespuestasThat's completely fine. Why should an auto rifle do 45 to the and have high stability? It fires faster than the suros on focus fire and still does more damage. It's a good compensation
-
1 RespuestaDude I understand. That damage nerf wasn't even justified because the accuracy is still horrible. Everyone saying that "it wrecks" or "Its amazing now" must have just recently acquired one after TTK dropped. This gun is a shell of its former self. If they're not going to give it any respect and keep destroying it, then they should just delete the damn thing from the game! TL;dr The Vex has low damage and accuracy. It still sucks.

Watch out watch out watch out OUT OF NOWHERE

2 RespuestasYou're welcome you ungrateful bitch! Next time I will nerf your ass back to year one!
-
Most awesome gun in the game reduced to a pile of shite.

Editado por Animal Mother: 4/14/2016 3:59:15 AMThere was once a weapon called the Vex Mythoclast. It was a viable option even with Thorn, shotguns, and final rounds. But then it caught nerf cancer and now it's dead. R.i.p Vex Mythoclast
-
Why Nerf a weapon stuck in Y1???????
-
Come on, we all new the vex was getting nerfted. Bungie just came out and did it on purpose this time instead of accidentally like they usually do.
-
2 RespuestasI figured this would happen in some form or another because it got the fusion rifle blanket stability buff. They cant have a hard hitting basically auto rifle all the sudden have good accuracy and stability, so they tossed this nerf in to raise its time to kill. The closest weapon and arch type to the mythoclast would be high impact auto rifle which currently requires 7-8 headshots to kill. So they nerf VM from 5 headshot kill to 6 in the newest patch in case you were thinking about breaking it out and dominating. If it still has the goofy cone spread while firing it wouldnt have made any difference except at point blank range. So for future nerf cryers the went and pre-empted your outrage.
-
1 RespuestaWhat's really funny is that they nerfed both of the year 1 raid weapons back to their pre buff state, like mythoclast needed a damage nerf or nechrochasm for some bizarre reason
-
I thought I was the only one who saw this poor gun and what they did to it. Some people might even say it's cruel and unusual punishment
-
8 RespuestasTbh if the stability nerf makes it consistent then the damage reduction was needed. In standardize crucible it used to melt supers and even LMGs in close range. If it landed the shots. If this stability buff makes it so that then the damage output would've been a problem. Instead of waiting for nerf cries might as well do it now.
-
4 RespuestasDon't forget that the necrochasm received a double nerf. The archetype nerf plus the aggressive ballistics change. Pretty much destroyed a weapon that never had its time in the sun.

Editado por Darches: 4/13/2016 5:21:13 AMHeadshot TTK: 0.80s Bodyshot TTK: 1.28s Miss penalty: 0.16s Wow, it can't compete with TLW AND it's not hitscan or accurate. This shitty weapon has reached a new level of bad. For an exotic, this is near the bottom of my meta tier list. I'd rather have -blam!-ing Dragon's Breath because I could use a better primary.
