Think you are thinking about CoD with pick a cool gun skin and go kill? However Halo's previous developers before selling their souls to Activision were really good story tellers, sadly they couldn't even get that right this time. It's completely unacceptable that instead of including the story in the game they decided to put remnants of it as cards on the companion app. I have no issue whatsoever with reading additional content to extend a games story/lore (in addition to the story included in a game). But to substitute it completely? -blam!- no they are really taking the piss, especially with the ludicrous budget Bungievision had at their disposal. Borderlands 2 perfectly nails this genre and Bungievision's game is a poor example of a shoot and loot game. Though Bungievision class it as an open world shooter, shame they didn't add anything notable in that open world to enrich it. Like you wrote everyone's entitled to their opinion and most here agree that Borderlands is better than Bungievision's game, however not everyone does. Especially those that haven't played all the games I have mentioned above. My gripe is not with fans of Bungievision's tragedy of a game but the game itself and the developers new ethos. I only have a gripe with those Bungievision fanboy's that are completely illiterate and keep posting about it in the wrong sub-forums, such as #Gaming and #Offtopic. But hey each to their own and if you enjoy it good for you dude =}
