In the Vault the bravest entered the portals head on and lead the charge across time and space.
In the face of Crota one brave guardian risked life and the protection of his allies to fell Crota with a sword forged by an ascendant hand.
In Oryxs final meeting ground you play skip to my lou and slam a shiny bubble on a knight that gifts you an aura that makes you unkillable.
One of these doesn't sound valiant or require a skilled hand and I think we know which one it is.
I guess I'm just retaining a degree of salt because I love being the runner but on the same degree I like a sense of challenge and difficulty that I feel is lacking from KF.
Anybody have any unique input on how to add a mechanic or degree of difficulty to KF relic running? I'd make one myself but I'm not very imaginative or unique lol
Just a thought.

I find it easy, because I have done it a lot. I do understand that it is not easy for everyone though.
-
Then why do I pray that I get torn twice at sisters? Because no one can fcking jump. All I hear is "this isn't my main". I've ran relic at Oryx on all 3 classes. It's laughable.
-
Yes and no. For a seasoned platformer, the role is easy. But I've come across plenty of "confident" runners that probably can't pass the first level in Mario. The runner has numerous small roles that when messed up, can be a total wipe.
-
Idk man... That Hive Tombship is pretty scary!
-
You're overlooking something though. VoG and CoE were limited in the boss fights on roles to play. In kings Fall everybody plays a special role in the fight, the relic runner is there to provide protection, the Titans are there to make sure we can do the damage conveniently when the time comes. I separate plate duty here because this is the exact reason why people suck at it. It's because everyone just brushes off running a plate as a crap role. It's not true, each plate runner is in their own role with their own ogre, knight and adds to kill. Is it difficult? No it's not, no role in the oryx fight is. Point is that running relic in Kings Fall isn't meant to be a special role like sword in Crota. In Kings Fall you're dependent on every single guardian to fulfill their role.

Hell yeah
-
Only those strong in the way of the great plumber make good runners.
-
Me and my friend always race to get the kings fall relic.
-
Certainly don't see the "need a runner" posts like we did with Crota. I always enjoyed jumping from one group to the next just to run the sword. Difficult no, none of them are difficult once you have the timing down, some people just can't figure this out or don't want to.
-
Didnt the vog relic make you invincible too? Aside from 3-4 enemies at the bottom of some stairs?
-
Those mines from Poe that explode and slow u down? U asked . . Agreed relic is a cake walk

Editado por WouldYouKindly?: 4/12/2016 8:01:15 AMYears of Donkey Kong and Super Mario trained me well in the art of jumping. Oh, and let's not forget super metroid :)
-
All the relics are easy. My order is... •VoG is the easiest, you kill 3 enemies and cleanse your teammates. •KF is in the middle, because it's easy but if you just mess up the jump slightly for some unknown reason, it's a wipe. •CE is the hardest. Can't tell you how many times I've watched someone fail running sword. I have 400+ completions and would finally just be like "can I run sword please?" Lol
-
Not everyone can jump that easily or even quick. I normally run for my friends as they aren't comfortable with running the relic. It might not be a challenge when you know how to do it but I feel the same for the other raids
-
you'd be suprised by the amount of people that either can't jump or don't want the responsibility of causing a wipe if they mess up. 9 out of 10 times people are relieved when i say that i like to run relic.
-
2 RespuestasYou are running the risk of missing a jump and causing a wipe. I recently got comfortable running but it's still in the back of your mind.
-
You would be surprised by the amount of people who are slow af or miss jumps.
-
Running relic on Templar. Now that'd fun not jumping from platform to platform.
-
Maybe spread the platforms a little bit apart and if you fall everyone dies.....
-
1 RespuestaIn VoG the brave who went in had Gjallahorn.
We're they brave or confident?
-
It's because you're not using a weapon, you don't feel powerful
-
One of the interesting things to be gleaned from the Dreadnaught walkthrough stream was when they were talking about the invisible platforms and they mentioned that the community was divided about the platforming elements of the game. I think they want to include those elements, but they don't want to scare off the people who "don't want no jumpin' in ma' shooter." Otherwise they could make the platforms move erratically or phase in and out of existence like the old Mega Man games.

2 RespuestasMaybe if you were the only one able to kill the vessel... And the vessel had 4 3x the health it did now lol that's how I'd make the runner's job harder. ~TheGreatNike
-
Oh you missed an oracle? You killed your entire team. Oh you died? You -blam!-ed over your entire team. You MISSED THE JUMP?! Dude quick restart- and we're dead.

2 RespuestasIm just gonna go ahead and go out on a limb and say Kings Fall is boring garbage. ~TheGreatPolo

1 RespuestaThe shifting black and white landscape screws with my head and depth perception, esp. when Lordy Mcdickface hanging over the side starts shooting at me and makes it flash like crazy. Otherwise yeah, runner is the easiest part of that fight. Definitely hope the next raid (s) require some strategy and skill for the Relic.
