OK, so what did you achieve in life by doing this?

A raid completion...

not sure if I follow here... you are complaining about not having time for the raid, which implies that you want to, but ask what satisfaction is gotten from completing it in a timely manner? seems a little contradictory. in any case, why does anyone do anything in any video game? because its fun, and can be a good way to challenge yourself, perhaps?

Yes I get you, I just think we as customers are somehow overworked to do a raid and though there are some seasonal players some boastful, we're not all experts so to state as an example " I can do it in an hour" has no place in what I'm talking about, such people started where a lot of players like me are now. Imagine a scene where you're at school in a playground organising with your friends let play destiny tonight blah blah. Working adults who ENJOY playing games but not the game playing them is why destiny has lost so many players. Look at the tower as an example its virtually empty. Perhaps a good call would be for there to be a bill board in the tower where players can log what they want to do etc etc saving TIME for the adults.....

the thing is you don't exactly need to be an expert, im at best slightly above average in fps games, though I have played lots of rpg/loot grinders so im used to some aspects of the game that may be daunting to those who have not, but all that aside, every week I use these forums to find a group, usually people who have never run together, and get my raids done in an hour to an hour and a half. did I start out that way? of course not, but it didn't take an extraordinary amount of time. it sounds like you have had bad luck with your attempts thus far, and are letting it turn you off to what can be, when things go right, a very fun and rewarding experience. which is understandable, I can kinda.. posthumously relate, heh, because as I said, my first raids were certainly NOT easy, fast, fun, or rewarding. I had to recognize that most of the people I was playing with at first, though fun to play normal content with, were not the people to raid with.
