DeeJ and Co the real reason you're failing

It's not over powered weapons that's the problem it's your match making that needs to be "nerfed" sorry meant to say fixed but "nerf" seems to be the only solution you people can seem to come up with. Take a player that has put time, practice and effort into becoming a force to be reckoned with with their favourite weapon, let's say for ie the last word, and he comes up against a player who hasn't put in as much time, effort and practice ,there is only going to be one winner. The weaker player will try to use the last word but can't use it as effectively, so when he is being killed by the last word he will bitch and moan that it's over powered and it needs to be nerfed, when the simple fact is he came up against a better player with more skill. Getting 2 head shots off the hip with the last word isn't easy, try it! I still haven't mastered it yet, so why punish the skilled player who more than likely has put alot of effort into getting to the level he s at? The reward and enjoyment he was getting from his favourite weapon have been taken away because of all the lazy moaning PVP players who were being outplayed. Getting to the lighthouse and getting an adept weapon is probably the hardest thing in the game to do and now the doctrine is being nerfed because the players who dont have one are complaining about that as well! This also being a complete 180 on your last buff to auto rifles! Just going around in circles lads! I have some friends who dont play much trials, they have an elo rating of #80 000+, they had 2 wins under their belt with boons this put them on 4 wins, they were matched with a team with a elo rating of #1500, they had a less than 5%chance of winning that match and this was after only 2 wins, they have never been flawless and never will as they keep getting matched up with teams that are simply far more skilled than they are!all they can do is the bounties otherwise trials is pointless. So instead of nerfing the game into the bland boring pile of shite it is fast becoming, why not try match up players more efficiently, keep the high KDs fighting the high KDS and the low with the low, obviously they are going to cross paths but if the less skilled players have a chance of getting to the lighthouse ect you won't have as much bitching, you will still having moaning and bitching that's inevitable. If there's one thing this game doesn't need it's less power, remember it's suppose to fun, there should be some OP in the game, there should be a weapon that everyone wants with the perfect roll and can show it off and boast to their friends about! As it's looking now the whole arsenal is just 1 big bland selection of weapons that basically kill the same, the only difference is the range they do it at, stop nerfing please, underpowered weapons is alot worse than over powered

  • Well then how are you supposed to get good You will never be good by simply playing with scrubs at the same level you are. If you want to get good you have to play with or against people that are better than you.

    • What's the point in trials of its not challenging and even more making easy for everyone to get it ruins the point of it. Why would I want that "thing" if everyone else can get it

        2 years in and still no dedicated servers...one of the biggest budgets a game has ever had and they decided to be cheap. if we had servers, matching would be better, damage referee would not be needed, hit detection would work...the list goes on. They could easily pay for servers with the funds accumulated from silver and now sterling chests...but P2P is cheaper and the devs built so much of the game around damage referee that the damage is irreparable. BUNGIE is just cheap af.

          Or just put matchmaking back at 100% random only based on connection speed. Then at least newer players have a chance. Im not bad at pvp. I'm in the top 2% in trials and I've been to the lighthouse only twice since TTK dropped. But every card after 4 wins there is always at least 1 In every team with a flawless emblem. Now how is it that Ive only done that twice but can't seem to find a team over 4 wins that hasn't been flawless? Very broken system. I Get my ass kicked every week. That shouldn't happen. Random matchmaking was way more fun because you never know what's going to happen.

        • Look at the stats of the gun. I've compared it with my sons Doctrine and it literally has ZERO impact. However its speed is 100. I've railed on people using the gun with slower auto rifles with much more impact and easily killed them. I personally don't think its 100% the gun. Its the person wielding it.

        • Day 1 player here giving my opinion on some changes which will have a positive effect on gamer experience. PVP - Iam not great at PVP but I can hold my own. The clear issue here is matchmaking. I rarely play trials anymore because Iam simply not good enough and so I avoid it like the curse but the truth isn't Iam horrible but matchmaking always puts me up against players who are elite and credit to them for putting in the hours to get there. You seem to keep blaming weapon balancing for PVP issues but it really isn't. Your punishing skilled players for mastering tactics by nerfing there load out. Perfect example - I used to play trials every week in year 1 using my thorn load out, I would still get wrecked by snipers or scout rifles in mid to long range but wishing close range I was dominant unless I ran in to a shotgun but it was competitive right through. There was always a counter to every weapon or tactic. The only issue was people getting wrecked by certain guns like thorn but why punish the player for mastering such gun which might I add they worked their ass of to earn. The appropriate action would have been to have better match making based on K/D ratio so similar skilled players were matched up but instead you nerfed the thorn back then and after that you didn't even allow it in year 2 so my hopes of success in trials went out of the window as I couldn't compete with elite players I was being matched up with. You've now nerfed the last word, personally I've been totally wrecked by it millions of times but I don't think it's over powered, I just appreciate the skill those players have put in to master it and I can't help but think if I had my old thorn back maybe I'd stand a chance. Moral of the story - Stop nerfing the most used guns because that's not the solution, your damaging The game and the players experience which leads me on to the gjallahorn, which ok I get it was a decent advantage in game but don't you understand that was the beauty of it? I loved using this rocket launcher to dominate in bad situations and if you wanted to nerf it I understand but at least let us have it as year 2 weapon? Easily the best weapon I've ever used in any game ever but you guys sent it to the grave yard. Finally on PVP. Why don't you guys sort out the revive animation? Top PVP games wouldn't dare put you in a position of involuntary vulnerability. Being revived has like a 1 second animation to spawn where the player has zero control but can be one shot killed. Sort it. Armour/Weapons/Equipment Being a day 1 player I really miss the old armours from Vault and Crota including lots of the older weapons like Word or Mythlocast. Are you not tired of seeing all guardians looking the exact same? You used to have an etheric light scheme which you abandoned within 6 months but I think you should bring it back for everything. Give people a reason to play the old raids again, and for cosmetic purposes, please allow us to mix and match without dropping level. This is the only way you can truly create customisation for your guardians. It's really annoying when you see another gaurdian who looks identical to you because only certain armour lets you get to where you need to be on light level. Let's understand that a level for a player is to judge how far they have come and not what they look like so please let me have more gear to choose from. Iam saying the same thing for the guns aswell, and I get it you guys want us to us the latest stuff but rather than sending older weapons to the grave, just make your newer weapons better so that people want to use them. It's as if you guys thought process was "Well shit we can't top the old guns so let's destroy them and give them new weapons so they have no choice" The truth is your year 1 weapons rocked, but your year 2 weapons seriously suck. The only year 2 weapons I truly enjoy are the exotic swords because it's something new and fun to use. Iam not trying to bad mouth you guys but just trying to bring attention to serious issues why players have left and why I once left. When you have a problem the thought of "Ok let's nerf this then" is annoying. What you should be thinking is "Ok let's make this better to counter act this problem" in theory rather then finding solutions your creating more problems and taking the fun out of the game which leads me on to currency. For the love of god can you just stick to 1 system? I heavily invested in radiant/accendant materials and etheric light. With every dlc update your constantly moving the goal posts so players who should be rewarded for grafting all the hours are left with worthless materials and for god sake, why is there a glimmer or marks cap? I mean seriously I have to lose out on so much because of this cap. Speaking on equipment/materials I just have a final peace to the puzzle. Allow synth micro-transactions, like 1000 synths for a £1 $1 so people don't have to spend hours farming strange coins to buy from XUR. People want to play games, not farm, it's boring. Extras The tower needs renovations, it's far to small and doesn't hold enough guardians. You want us to be more social with each other? Create some mini games like chess/bowling/betting/target practice? Stuff we guardians can do together and get to know each other whilst we are doing it. Weather changes would be nice and finally let us kit up our ships from the ship yard? Like pimp my ride... Well not quite that far but you know what I mean. Stop making quests that promote wasting time, I mean seriously, who thought it would be a good idea to waste hours farming for materials which drop super slow and randomly to achieve the exotic sword? Whoever thought of that I mean seriously dude, what were you smoking? Flying ships anyone? On loading screens, when we're flying to a destination, why can't we control our ships? Nudge each other and just clown around whilst we wait? I know it's not a vital change but Iam sure people would love to just do something whilst they wait like 20/30 seconds for their ships to land. I know you guys probably won't read this and I will likely go unheard in the community but I just want you guys to know Iam a fan of games, and I only want what's best for Destiny which brings out the guardians in all of us. If you hear me, please know the community appreciates you and wants you to keep up the great work, keep listening to us, keep innovating and maybe we can help bring back fallen guardians who once left.           • I have zero issue with Trials being difficult, zero issues with the Doctrine being the prize at the end, and zero issues with the reality I'll never see the Lighthouse. The Doctrine has been one of the best guns in PvP, as it should be being a prize worthy of catching. Even though I can't have one, I detest it's being nerf'd.

              • bump !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! same goes for mida!!!!!!! tlw and mmt are balanced exotic primary's good for pvp AND pve !!!! they should have buffed other exotic primary's and then watch the poularity of mida drop.... insted of giving options , they takeing them away by nerfing. start buffing weapons .

                    Yeah I'm surprised they don't do this really. I never had an online game before destiny, so I never played PVP of any kind even though I got 30 years of playing games..alot of games. Even more so, I never felt the slightest itch to do PVP, not what I do games for, so it was never enough to even consider plugging my deck on line. Anyway, I get destiny, and around level 3 I get a crucible bounty, so I read what it was, test yourself against other guardians blah blah blah. I giggled and said yeah right, how long those dudes been playing this game and these maps? Being a lot older and wiser I knew how that would end. My instant reflex was giving the screen the finger and said yeah right, blow me. (true story, seriously) lol That alone is the biggest reason we got problems with weapon nerfs (aside from bungies stupidity). Bungie gives crucible bounties and weapons bounties to people who never did pvp, so like fools they go in and get destroyed because there is no entry level. As for me, I don't give a rat's ass, I'll never play it, and don't give a flying f*ck about any weapon that would come from it, but for those who are getting their feet wet and want to do it it really don't help tossing them into the mix with seasoned dudes.

                      • You are the reason this game is failing. All you're talking about is pvp. The game is failing because there is no new/not enough pve content. Pvp is the same shit over and over again on different maps, with a bunch of bitches crying about guns and subclasses. Just stfu already so they will concentrate on more content and not focus on nerfing everything every 4 months. You -blam!-ing idiot how do you not see this???

                        • Yes, Bungie should stop nerfing the weapons down and start making the pvp matchmaking more fair at least taking kill ratio of matched players into account or finding their own smart way of putting similar level players into the same match. Personally that's why one of my own reasons I no longer play this game anymore after nearly a year of playing it.

                        • I hate seeing Deej on the twitch streams. He just doesn't engage the viewers to me especially with his lame jokes and always trying to rush the stream as if he has something better to do. Wished they'd replace him.

                        • Remember, if there are 100,00 people playing Destiny ( I just picked a round number ) . Most people play for maybe 2 Hours , they have to be playing when your playing, they have to be playing pvp, then they have to be playing the same PVP mode as you...the pool of potential candidates is very small by the time you break it down to Trials. I don't pretend to know the numbers but if your playing Trials I would be surprised if the pool wasn't much bigger then a few hundred people ( Teams ) at any one time......

                        • Our team jumped in to do our bounties last week and we were put up against a team who was on their last win before lighthouse somehow (we saw the message come up that they had completed their card after the win). I thought that wasn't even supposed to be possible......

That's how you know those are the best, and thus imbalanced.

                            People are so focused on the nerfs they forget about all the good things In this update. Skill based matchmaking should never be in any game ever
