yup. remember when Bungie said they will keep micro transactions strictly cosmetic? well now we will be able to BUY ARMOR. what will we be doing by the time Destiny 2 comes out? Will we have to pay for energy to -blam!-ing play crucible matches?
they are killing this game. if u still log in to Destiny everyday i am so so sorry.
EDIT: "Well its only 3 light so your argument is invalid". i dont give a shit about the light. the point is they are now selling armor rather than pure cosmetics which obviously crosses a line and begs the question: where will we be in 2 years?

The 3 light arguement is bullshit, they altered the infusion system just to accomadate and promote silver sales. It's not a coincidence that they changed it just as they try getting you to gamble cash to get the armour that you can then instantly infuse it.
EDIT 3: I guess lethalviper80 is apparently a disliked member of the forums... sorry about that. but for some of u, Its not the armor itself thats the problem but the principle of the entire thing is where Bungie has gone wrong.
You see two years in and we are seeing armor that can be bought (mind you that if you have the money you can end up with an amazing roll of perks that would normally take weeks to obtain through raiding).
What about Destiny 2? I'm concerned for its future because if these micro transactions keep happening and we don't say something then further down the road we will face the repercussions (worst case scenario would be chests like in COD that are purchasable in-game)

7 RespuestasFor anyone that play Black Ops 3, they should be aware of what Activisions plan is. First it's cosmetics, then "reskins" of weapons, and now Black Ops 3 has full blown, unique weapons only available through supply drops, with no other way to obtain them. I'm sure Bungie will put up a fight, but in the end money wins.

1 RespuestaThe next update is going to make the game so easy to level up that you could infuse the 3 light gear to 335 on thursday its bullshit. You can spam PoE all day till you have 335 gear, you can play all of Shaxxs bounties for 335 gear, you can get 335 gear from regular strikes, its rediculous there will not be any real goal in the game a month from now and we will be dry untill they make us pay 50$ for another bullshit dlc/update that should be 20$ like TTK Bungie is -blam!-ing the game. Its dead.

Unless they see we caught onto them and made them available through Variks and the crucible so they don't seem scummy. Although, it's not a "Pay to Win" as many people put it cause you're paying for low tier armour and the armour you if use the stuff into will more than likely have better stats (like raid gear has more than just 2 perks), it's still cosmetic as you're just deciding on how you'd look. This is it with the community. Bungie add a highly requested feature (sparrow racing was one of them) and they get shut down. Soon, they're gunna add private matches and people will, yet again, look down upon them... It's how this community works.

Oh... You mean those level 3 armor pieces where you can get them out of the 3 boxes(9 boxes if you have 3 characters) that you get every week? Yea... Cuz im gonna have to pay for that and totally instantly hit max light in day one!!! #Sarcasm Its legit cosmetic armor and fun fact if your dumb enough to buy it for certain rolls then I applaude bungie for making you look stupid for buying it. Its armor. I could buy that stuff with the right rolls at a vendor you pleb. Get gud.

1 RespuestaI'm still waiting for bungie to make "reforging packages" for silver, 1000 silver gets you 10 random packages that can be used to re roll your legendary's for a new set of random perks, or you can get a "platinum" package for the same price that lets you pick from the weapon's perk list to build your own god roll. Want to know the best part? People will still buy and defend this with lines like: "It's not the gun that makes the guardian, it's the guardian that makes the gun." And "Plebe, go beg mommy for some money you poor scrub!" And everyone's favorite, "Get gud scrub" And of course "It's not pay to win because you can get the rolls through RNG"

2 RespuestasThe rolls on the armor you get from packages have no raid perks on them at all....you still need to raid for raid type perks, also you can still get literally every armor variant you want just from a day grinding strikes. The armor gives you no advantage that you can't easily get through playing the game normally.

It is so cute. It is baby steps. The old frog in the boiling water trick. Don't drop them in the boiling water or they jump out. Put em in the water and slowly turn up the heat and they will never even notice..... Armor for sale....of course it isn't real armor......Hey what about those faction boosters......Oh well it was cool while it lasted. Just remember when this game works about like candy crush it did start out as a great concept.
