How did your "gjallahorn moment" go?
How did you and/or your friends react when you finally got that one item you were after or when you finally got something like the Gjallahorn or Hawkmoon?
Here's mine:
[spoiler]I finally got my hunter to level 20 (second character and it took me forever to get off my Titan and work on my hunter) so I was ecstatic. I had some hunter gear already so I used them on him and he got to light 26, my fireteam were on shortly after and we decided to run a VOG normal so I could increase my light, having run the raid through hard on my Titan many times and not getting much I barely expected anything. The raid went well and we beat the templar (honestly don't remember if I got anything) and it was about 4 or 5 am for me at the time and I was ready to go to bed, I thanked my team and told them I'd leave. (We were 4 and they could easily finish the raid without me) but they told me to stay for the "exotic" chest so I did. First time we opened it I was on my hunter and I got the cloack (which I was so happy about). Then we all switched characters and I switched to my Titan and hoped I would get the class item (really wanted it). From the 4 of us 2 had gjallahorns already so one of them said he felt someone would get something good and the two with gjallahorns "blessed the chest" by shooting it with their gjallahorns. Remember this is VoG normal and it was the night before reset so we didn't mind opening the chest on normal which had a lower exotic droprate. First my friend (who also didn't have gjallahorn) got red death and we laughed a bit because we thought my friends prediction came true and then it was my turn, I wanted the class item but expected nothing. When I opened the chest I noticed two items dropped and I had a feeling the top one was an exotic and then I got the Gjallahorn and I swear I stared at it for a good second confused then my friends started screaming and laughing and I started laughing but there were tears in my eyes and it was my first ever proper drop in an online game so I was super happy and felt so hyped. Probably my best memory in this game ever. I went to bed soon but couldn't sleep because of how hyped I was. It was also the first time I reacted to pixels on a screen :p
Tl;dr: I got Gjallahorn on vog normal chest which had a low droprate and reacted.[/spoiler]

We were on vog hard, i was the one staying in the instance while others changed characters. They all grabbed the chest, changed characters, and joined back. Then i opened the chest, i got gally and started shaking with excitement then proceeded to kill myself with it and scream with joy

I got mine from my first Atheon kill before I knew it was good, I was kinda bummed that I didn't get a vision of confluence haha

Omnigul nightfall, I believe it was rainbow burn. i truly don't remember. it was during House of Wolves, either in June or July when I got the dark below. Me and a friend were 2-manning it. My mate already had Gjallarhorn, and when we finished the nightfall I got it. My first Gjallarhorn. I was screaming in my mic so happy. Then we did the nightfall on our other characters. I got a hard light. Then another Gjallarhorn. [i]~TheGreatFila[/i]

I bough my gally from xur when he sold it just before HoW dropped. I woke up to 15 pm in the app and 10 psn messages telling me he had it. I couldn't get that thing to drop to save my life. I leveled it then run the solar burn valus nightfall which gave me another gally. The next week taniks gave me another. RNG was trolling me apparently. I did however freak out like a little girl at a beiber concert when I got my double drop of FATEBRINGER!!!!!

Woke up, checked forums, saw them burning to the ground over xur's inventory. Logged on and bought one to stoke the inferno. When xur broke the Internet.

Got mine from the first nightfall I did on my Hunter, I had originally mained a warlock(I releveled him before TTK) and had done many nightfalls without ever getting an exotic. That first nf on my Hunter was the archon priest: I remember seeing the word GJALLARHORN pop up in the reward screen and being like oh damn who... *BROSKIE1001-Gjallarhorn* "No way no way no way!" And then I just froze Like for a good 15secobds I froze, trickysage leaves his headset in the background after much vile language I locked it asap and then it took a good hour to fully realize that I had actually got it Good times

Got mine from a legendary heavy engram from a cryptarch package. I praised RNGesus and went about getting it leveled ASAP.

Didn't care. I'm not allowed to use rocket launchers. However, if I were to look at our first three man beast mode on insane without failing on the checkout map, now there was a party. Bigger even than the no mutator, 50 wave marathon run of inane horde without failing, and all the other guys were screaming after that one.

It was early, the sun barely over the skyline. Dinklebot woke me with squeals of excitement. "You won't believe it", he said. "What's wrong? Is everything okay?" I replied. He put a blindfold on me and took me to my ship. He said not to worry, and that it was worth it. We arrived at our destination fairly quickly, and he rushed me out of the ship, I was pretty disoriented, but it seemed familiar around. And then I heard it. "My Will is not my own." And then I bought one because the damn thing never dropped for me, and then it became obsolete and I hate everything. The End.

Went to tower, went to vault, took out strange coins. Went to xur (jukebox room iirc). Bought 3. Was convinced they'd stopped giving it out, just wouldn't drop.

The first one I ever got was from a nightfall back in January 2015. I was so happy as I had known how powerful that gun really was at the time.

Got my 1st and 3rd from silver tear package. 2nd from a nightfall. I was in shock all 3 times. And laughed when I got my 1st and 2nd because my friends got butthurt that they didn't have 1 yet. And they started like a couple months before me.
