Title.
Personally, I'd prefer a polearm/naginata because of the increased reach and large blade.

14 RespuestasKatana's are sharper and deadlier and lighter than European broad/longswords, but Id just be called a weeb. So lets go with a lightsaber. Ooooooo or better yet, Spectres Ripper

4 RespuestasA heavy short sword with weight near the head. Gallic short, Roman short, etc. paired with either a heavy duty gauntlet or a strong, pointed shield. Short range, rapid attack, with versatility. Your armor can remain relatively light and flexible due to both arms giving a means of defense. The short sword is ideal for parries and the shield is remarkably strong when having an additional brace such as the sword. The gauntlet would require my sword be much harder forged as my sword hand would provide both offense and defense. The gauntlet is so I can treat the sword as a staff. Not to mention an increased grappling capability and is good for dealing with glancing blows. Forward aggression and side-to-side defense (alternate between sword/shield defense) is my ideal blend of power and flexibility. In my personal training and style, I rely on precision, speed, and stance as my core fundamentals. They are important in any style but are critical to my own. Precision in strikes and where you take the main blows. Aim for weak points that are susceptible to high impact or slash damage (i.e. Forearms, joints, ribs, and of course neck and head) Speed is the core of my attack. Constantly change your target in rapid bursts of 4-7 swings. This forces your opponent to be aware of all points and puts him in a defensive state. The faster I am the less he has to think of a counter strike. Stance is the primary attribute to my defense. Due to my weapons having rather low energy absorption I must rely on my entire form being able to absorb and disperse the shock evenly. A firm stance also lets me focus on where to move next and gives me an opportunity to maintain my speed. Maybe I droned on a little but I actually trained a little so I'm a little involved with the topic

I'd probably take an aluminum baseball bat. Like, a tea ball bat. Short with a good weight and balance. It's easy to use and effective. I wouldn't have to worry about getting my blade stuck because I've never handled a sword. And, I like my odds against a sword.

Most violent thing possible. Like a barbed-wire covered metal baseball bat

Uhh... some sort of sword.

Fists. Can you fist a dragon to death with a gravity hammer? No. Can you fist a dragon with anything but fists? No, with the exception of a few gloves/brass knuckles, but those are still less cool.
