Never once have I ever heard an PvE enemey complain about hammers, too much sniper or heavy, ice breaker, Last word, Hunters, warlocks, Titans or anything else.
So until I get an in game message from a dreg, Atheon, Skolas or whoever, every nerf and "balance" in this game is 100% based on babies in Crucible who can't handle getting killed.
If my MIDA descopes vandals and hobgoblins in PvE, why can't it kick a sniper out of his scope in PvP?
If my LMG holds 150 bullets in PvE, why the hell do I only get 60ish in PvP? I'm wearing armor for ass ton of heavy and I only get a fraction in PvP??

My biggest concern in story content is how my Flame Shields going to suck and how much less damage I can do with machine guns and snipers on bosses stuff I depend on silver lining at least I have hawkmoon back maybe don't know how good the somewhat buff is till the 12th

@Wulf Certainly can't disagree with you about 'balancing' being heavily influenced by Crucible combat and unfortunately a lot of crybabies. But let's be serious: 1.) Will PvE enemies send you hate messages for nuking them with gally? No. Will Skolas bitch that your soloing him because you exploit the sword bug? No. Let's be big boys and girls and stop saying that's balanced. It's not and you know it, the circumstance benefits you. 2.) Jon weisenewski and devs tasked with balance have to use personal experience, game data, and user feedback to 'adjust' the plethora of ordinance and perks available to our guardians. Now the PvE enemies that don't message you aren't going to post on these forums either that they're leaving Destiny unless thorn gets nerfed! While I don't care for it, the best feedback on weapon use, overuse, and lack of balance has to be coming from PvP user feedback. So reality sets in and I have to realize that the devs have to have a basis for servicing and maintaining their code (please no jokes). Accept it or don't...

@BCNiSS But they have already proven that they can nerf a weapon for the sake of balance in PvP and leave it unchanged in PvE. Take the shotguns for example. When HoW came out and everyone was using the crap out of felwinter, they nerfed stability, range and dmg of those types of shotguns in PvP, yet in PvE nothing changed to them. They behaved the exact same and we're actually buffed greatly in all PvE activities. Same for Autos. When they got nerfed to pieces in Vanilla PvP, they were buffed greatly in PvE. So, why does crucible balancing have to keep cutting into PvE, when they themselves have proved that nerfs in PvP do not have to affect PvE. Another like it or don't scenario By demonstrating the ability to separate how weapons are in PvP vs PvE they have proven from the past that they can do what you are saying. By stating what OP quoted in topic, they are demonstrating (A) their current aim (pun intended) or (B) their unwillingness to do what they did in the past. Uniformity across both modes is my preference. And I appreciate that this requires 'fine' and not 'coarse' tuning... You know... .04% :)
-
Funny how they increased dmg of bullet hose autos by .04% But now they said they will be reducing their dmg by 2.4% like what?

To me, it seems that Bungie can only change attack values and how certain guns work on certain enemies or guardians. For example, them making shotguns hurt more against PvE enemies versus PvP guardians as you mentioned above. They can't have perks work one way in PvP and not the same way in PvE. You can't have a MIDA with High Caliber rounds in PvE but not PVP or vice versa. That's why all of the crucible modifications have to equally hurt (or improve?) the PvE side as well. It's a pain, but it is what it is. I don't want my weapons working differently between PvE and PvP. I think that's what they mean by the statement the OP quoted. That's my take at least. :)
-
This is very true. I have tried using different setups and have found the a weapon not working the way i expect it to in pve in pvp can really hurt how well i preform. I will be glad when i can use my old standard from year one again.

I'm gonna bump this to infinity!! I like crucible also but the Nerf herders are asshats. Their wrecking everything.

Bungie did blame pve players for the icebreaker nerf.
-
No? People in Crucible were using Ice Breaker to generate ammo, then switch to another sniper while dead to retain ammo.
-
Yeah, I know,.....I was referring to the initial icebreaker nerf where they lengthend the regin time for each round.......same time they nerfed thorn into the ground. Bungie claimed they did it because people were camping in strikes.......which was stupid, and just another case of them blaming us for them just doing what they want. My problem was that logically, if someone was camping a strike boss, they were probably afraid of dying if they left cover.......so having to wait another 2 seconds or whatever per round isn't going to make someone jump out & get killed......they just would be forced to sit & wait even longer. It was just frustration added to the game that benefited no one.
-
Oh yeah I remember that. Everyone was saying that it's just going to make the boss fights a little longer.
Do you ever feel like Bungo doesn't actually think before they nerf?
You're lucky heavy is even there in the first place.
-
I could care less if heavy was in PvP. Only thing heavy ammo is good for is team wiping with nova bombs!! #Voidwalkermasterrace
-
No, Blink was nerfed a while ago.
-
Blink is an afterthought. Cross map nukes are where it's at
-
Nah have gotten a be flag reaper b4 got 14 nova kills overall that game too
-
-
Heavy ammo is the cancer of pvp lol

You only get 1 crate per heavy drop in the crucible. I thought that was pretty obvious to everyone.. If you got both it would get you pretty close to the reserve limit.
