Oryx fight plate holders...KILL YOUR ADDS!!!
Why???? Why do so many guardians kill their Knight and then hide? Then they act all surprised when someone dies from an Acolyte Eye. I played with 1 group this week that was on point. The rest of them were miserable...nice enough guys but miserable.
Grenade your Ogre. Turn and rocket the adds next to you if you are plate 2 or 3. If none are there immediately 2 shot snipe your Knight, then rocket or heavy machine gun the adds that spawn with your Knight. Simple, it's not that hard. No stupid deaths from Acolyte Eyes or Centurion axiom bolts.

Edit: Brought it back around for people to get familiar with killing their adds to cause needless wipes from add deaths.

3 RespuestasNo need to kill those mobs. Shoot your ogre, shoot your knight, wait for the runners call out, then run back to the bubble.

43 RespuestasNope, invalid complaint. Never shoot anything but the knight when on the platforms, that is THE only rule for Oryx. If you want to chuck a grenade as you are leaving the platform that is fine. But never shoot the ads, never shoot the ogres. If you agro the ogre he will change direction and then the shooters cannot get clean crits=wipe. If you agro the ads they will all agro back at you=wipe Object is to stay focused with no distractions, hold the plate till the runner gets the relic and then bail to the center with the team then drop ads while you are in god mode.

Only thing to really kill is the eye if they spawn one, usually right after the knight is killed, the adds are best left for making orbs.

You don't need to kill anything except the acolyte eyes. My teams run this fight flawlessly without killing anything other than acolyte eyes, ogres and Knights.

I'm always plate 3 ( if I'm on on my Titan I'm on adds ) I kill both knights and usually some of the adds. Barely ever die. Very simple raid

3 RespuestasWe've never bothered with the adds. We us the 2 titan buble strat. We just meet in the middle and let the bombs kill them... if we're doing the challenge we also meet in the middle and just shoot them all from there with a couple people shooting oryxs worm. The only problem we run into is the shade phase, we sometimes get over run by adds in there or port in only to get hit by the shade right away

7 RespuestasSorry, I stopped watching when you didn't help kill your ogre but fired a rocket at the Taken Acolytes... Typically when I'm on a plate, I help kill my Ogre with a grenade and heavy, turn and snipe my knight, and then either kill adds or help kill the other knight if he's on my side.

Honestly if you get killed my the adds you're a -blam!-ing scrub. It is so damn easy to miss them or run past them.
