So, I picked up The Witcher 2 on the 360 back when it was free with Games with Gold. I've figured that I should probably play The Witcher 2 before I play Wild Hunt (I plan on getting it eventually), but I'm unsure how necessary the first game is to understanding the second. I've tried Googling it, but so far what I've found has been split. I've essentially heard that it's a great game for it's time, but it has some pretty big flaws. The biggest of which is that the combat is a bit weird (though some appreciate its uniqueness), and that the game tends to drag in places. So, I turn to those of you that have experience with the Witcher franchise to advise this hopeless noob toward the right decision for his introduction to the franchise
