https://www.vg247.com/2016/04/07/the-division-update-1-1-killing-a-named-npc-will-now-grant-a-high-end-drop/
For all those who were worried about the grind. No need we will have more high ends than we can count soon
-Increase drop rates of High-End items on named NPCs (100% drop rate, actually)
-Increase drop rates of Division Tech, to make it less of a bottleneck than it currently is
-Modify loot tables for each named NPC, to make the hunt for loot more controlled
-Increase conversion costs of lower quality materials to high quality ones, making it harder to convert low quality materials into high quality ones
-Decrease construction yields, making it less interesting to farm lower quality items in order to obtain crafting materials, and because you’ll get more High-End items as a whole
-Increase cost of crafting High-End items, because High-End materials will be much easier to come by

13 Respuestas1. Tweaking the rogue system is now a must. Now say when a few agents take down a named enemy. Once they are dead its going to be known everyone got a HE piece and its going to result in an annoying battle EVERY SINGLE TIME between rogues and non hostiles 2. So a HE piece for every named kill? So uhhh they know theyll need tons of new armor and guns soon as thatll mean players will have basically every HE piece in no time.

5 RespuestasThey should add recalibration to weapons. I think 100% drop rate is a brilliant move though. I'm liking what they are doing with this game.

6 RespuestasEditado por Retro_Spective: 4/8/2016 12:38:15 AMHigh-end will be the equivalent of superior, when the update drops. We will all be chasing green exotic set armour and guns...
-
Wasn't worried. I figured they were planning on increasing the drop rates (Which are REALLY bad right now). I just didn't think they'd go **quite** that far......
-
Well if you group up with another team or more, in most situations people don't wish to fight 8-10 people.
-
2 RespuestasDid they patch the Madison Field Hospital farm?
-
4 RespuestasLet's make the game easier, -blam!-ing stupid.
-
2 RespuestasI like this. Even at 100% drop rate for HE items it doesn't necessarily mean you'll get the one you need/want. Doesn't guarantee a perfect roll either. Recalibration covers that. It also means play more challenging missions to get high level drops.
-
This is THE WORST idea massive could have made.
-
5 RespuestasCan't wait to troll people at the boss fights. Now I don't even have to do the fight at all. Just wait for the other players to kill him, and then go rogue and just steal the high end.
-
Also rank 75 and 90 gear at vendors!!!
-
4 RespuestasToo bad the game is artificial difficulty and bad...in my opinion that is
-
RIP Boomerang, Hawkeye, Mcgardy... LOL! (named NPCs from DZ)
-
1 RespuestaEditado por PizzaMan725: 4/8/2016 5:27:54 PMThis and supply drops are going to make the DZ a really interesting place for the 160+ rating bracket. Edit: didn't see it in your post, but all named DZ NPCs have an increased 40% to drop HE Division tech

27 RespuestasEditado por Vardnax: 4/8/2016 9:52:15 AMHope they don't fix the PA glitch with the patch on tuesday. But I think they will. If not I will be farming high ends there.
-
2 RespuestasWell looks like ill be hunting down bosses outside dz Do the 2 bosses before the helicopter count on un?
-
Extractions are going to be a shit show now lol can't wait
-
2 RespuestasWhat game is this?
-
Well, this is going to be easy. Alright, lets get his out of the way real fast boys.
-
8 RespuestasTo my memory, when the game came out, people vouched for this game based on the grind. And now I would reply, "what 'grind' do you speak of?".
-
What's funny is that I booted up Diablo3 just last night. This. This is what I wanted to hear.
-
DZ is going to be crazy! Groups of 4 just going rouge as the heli turns up as it's very likely everyone is carrying HE stuff! My team never pick on solos but I feel sorry for anyone that does solo! I've tried it occasionally and I rage at some people lol

Massive are heading the right way with this update. Crafting shouldn't be the way you get endgame gear.. It should be through farming/grinding. If farming ain't your cuppa tea, then why even buy a loot heavy game? This change should sit well with hardcore gamers and casuals seeing as a guaranteed HE drop doesn't mean a good HE drop. The grind is still there. Just means if you have that extra bit of time to put in a game, you will most likely walk away with a roll you want..eventually.

Definitely think this is a way they can increase everyone's gear score. As of now, the community keeps throwing out 2% as the number for being leveled enough to attempt incursions. Good move on Massive's part to increase that and get more players in.
