The first two streams had me excited for the update next Tuesday. However, after watching the last stream, I'm disappointed yet again by Bungie. Just a few highlights that bothered me the most:
Weapon nerfs based on PvP:
Why is this still a thing? Why punish those of us who hardly touch PvP? Reducing reserve rounds in my special and heavy weapon for PvE challenges is a straight up HORRIBLE idea.
MIDA is losing high caliber rounds:
Really?! Was this THAT big of an issue?? I never heard a knight, captain, dreg, or vandal bitching about the fact that my HCR were there. Again, it comes down to PvP whiners complaining.
Weapons are getting "slight damage increase or decrease":
Huh? Give us some numbers please. What exactly does "slight" even mean? Anyone can say that. Perhaps they're too afraid to make a valid statement about it after the whole .04% buff ordeal.
And finally; Deej referring to the community feedback as "anecdotal":
This probably salted my wounds worse than any other comment that was made. Are you kidding me, Deej? That was basically an admission that the forum feedback is nothing to Bungie. It's just there for the laughter and amusement of the devs. What a joke. At least it was an admission that Bungie truly is not listening to us.
I will download the update next Tuesday and I will subsequently play the new material. However, if their changes will drastically affect how I play in a negative way, I'm done with Destiny. For all they hype they tried to push for this and then disrupt it so much based on PvP players, I feel they lose more players than they gain. Such a shame.

Editado por Blankman007: 4/9/2016 5:12:08 AMEvery single stream disappointed me more. First stream: "wait, so its only POE? No VOG? I hated POE..." Second stream: "wait, so no new exotics, a few old guns and the crappy queens guns from original POE are all that's coming back? Just new armor pieces? And you can buy most of it for silver?" Third stream: "Wait, I carry less ammo into the new POE because PVP players whined again? And all my favorite guns got nerfed? Again?" I might still play it, but only after I've had my fill of the much better division update, and maybe a few other things.

13 RespuestasSo a few minor changes has got you all salty and ruined the other great things coming? No wonder gaming is going downhill.

6 RespuestasIm still excited. Free content that I dont have to fork any money over for! Yes please! You all seem to be missing that point.

2 RespuestasEditado por seraphic_thunder: 4/9/2016 3:32:44 PMI lose my boner every time they mention weapon updates.

Pvp nerfs are catering to the vast majority of the player base, I don't personally agree with it but I understand the realization that you can't please everyone has taken balance over it that regard. As for the Mida they needed a nerf that would shut up the bitching but leave the gun mostly intact, let's be real they've done worse for less so I won't complain. "Slight" changes are made exact in the patch notes, Newsk wasn't about to memorize every value for every change, I don't blame him. And as far as the "anecdotal" comment...I got nothin lol, best I can say is he's just the community manager and has no real weight in decisions involving feedback analysis, but even that's a stretch lol.

Editado por gcarlin1: 4/9/2016 2:36:47 AMI think I'm already done. Played this game since Beta. I log on here from time to time hoping beyond hope they are actually gonna listen to us. That I'll read something good, load the game, and be content again Seems like a lost cause.

15 RespuestasYou said you watched the last stream. Jon explained why weapon and class balance happen across the board. Now you are here asking why. I ve got a question, why should I be forced to learn 2 different game behaviors when jumping from PvE to PvP? See I play both equally, in fact it's the reason I like Destiny some much. The performance is the same in every event. Next, game changes are made based on usage, they show you charts. Next if you pve only guys can't jump out of cover for 2 seconds and fill up your reserves then you may want to look into Tetris.
I will download the update next Tuesday and I will subsequently play the new material.
I will probably do the same. The only thing different is that if I am ACTUALLY as disappointed in the new DLC and balancing changes as I anticipate I am GOING to be given what we know, I'm going to just uninstall Destiny. 25 gigs on my hard drive is committing too much space to a game that's becoming less and less fun to play with each and every installment/update since HoW.

1 Respuesta
And finally; Deej referring to the community feedback as "anecdotal": This probably salted my wounds worse than any other comment that was made.
If nothing else, Bungie's Community Manager is consistent. I am also bothered that Bungie's only acknowledges problems with the game follows longer after the community has reached consensus. How long have we been debating the OP status of 1000 Yard Stare and Doctrine of Passing? It was the same story more than a year ago when Bungie nerfed auto-rifles. By the time Bungie reacts, the damage has been done. If Bungie really wants to turn the tide of public opinion, not just on the issue of shitty rewards, they need to get ahead of balancing issues. All they have to do is listen to the community. Why is that so hard for them?

6 RespuestasThey're not bad still. I do believe that the ammo nerf will be bad for raiding, but maybe you should try actually (I know this is crazy) new tactics! Who knew?! Sitting in the right place with a sniper isn't skillful and I'll be damned if someone were to call it "fun," whatever that is. Just try to play the game. Or don't. It's your precious free time.
-
10 RespuestasAlso how will the special ammo nerf affect the Kings Fall Raid. I usually have to use most of my special or heavy to just to take out the ogres and knights at oryx and mop up other stuff. As a PVE player how do you think this will affect the raid?
-
90% of it is anecdotal though. Based on personal experience. No research done (most just make up thinks or make wild predictions). We know though, babies will whine about anything

1 Respuesta"All that High Caliber Round Bullshit were complained by the PvP whiners" Wow!!!! Someone is being a kiss-ass on the Mida Multi Tool if you were trying to fight a player using MIDA (Regardless Skill Level) otherwise you will lose as crutches use the High Caliber Round Bullshit to bounce the sights of their enemies and help them win a 1v1 Gunfight pretty easily with 0 Skill Required‚ Unlike TLW or Hawkmoon which requires a tremendous amount Accurate and Deadly Precise Shooting for them to be rewarding or your not making the most out of them‚ especially TLW‚ on when you should Aim it and to Hip Fire it and when your In on the right range or almost at the unintended range

Dark souls 3 my friend

2 RespuestasTrue boy. After how much they've nerfed and taken out for pvp they've demonstrated this is not a pve game. And destiny two will not be a pve game. And bungie will not be getting my money.
-
2 RespuestasAnyone know what the "anecdotal " comment was specifically referencing? I would hope just the forum posts for weapon buff/nerfs and not all of the feedback... That would be depressing.
-
2 RespuestasYou won't quit

They don't get it, that's why they do it. The people who make the decisions, don't play the game. It's really quite idiotic. Bungie -blam!-tards.

1 RespuestaBungie needs to see this https://youtu.be/nIl1upKK6Ro

1 RespuestaI couldn't agree more... Over 3500 hours of play and it's almost all pve.... I'm so sick of having my at messed up because of pvp..
-
See you in the Dark Zone....

Yep, as a PvE main I'm with you. This is a BIG deal for PvE, losing a heavy round or two when you're trying to take down a major will kill the vibe. It doesn't matter if more ammo falls. I'd prefer to have less fall and another round. Especially with the Zealots, if you run out, chances are you'll fail if you have to run around to find more. I'll be downloading the update and playing it, but if the PvE experience loses out because of the PvP sooks then that's it for me too.
