[b][u]General Nova Bomb[/u][/b]
Increase the Nova Bomb's animation speed..
Remove possibility of dying from your own nova bomb.
Decrease the initial size of the bomb's center to be about the size of a softball but have a blast radius slightly wider than what it currently has which triggers on impact. This should decrease the number of nova bombs caught on doors, etc... while making it a more lethal super.
[b][u]Vortex[/u][/b]
Vortex (not nade, the super perk) should be renamed Singularity and keep its current effect but also slow enemies inside, similar to tether, but not as strong (about a quarter as much) because of Vortex's damage. Enemies should feel a slight tug when nearby, but not be pulled in. This function is just to warn them that a Vortex is nearby.
Vortex also lasts 4 seconds, not 3.5.
[b][u]Shatter[/u][/b]
Shatter should split into projectiles on impact, at which point the projectiles loosely (not slowly) seek out enemies nearby, and upon contact of a surface/enemy or reaching a certain short range limit, they explode. So there's an initial focused blast followed by, let's say, 4 fast nova shard seeking projectiles. The secondary projectiles should explode before one second is up and be the size of unmodified nova bombs.
[b][u]Shatter Alternative: A[/u][/b]
Make center projectile large and give slight tracking to nova bomb projectiles based on center projectile before target impact. (Center goes where shot, other two track targets midair in general vicinity of center projectile.
[b][u]Lance[/u][/b]
Lance appears instantly where the reticle is pointed and also does 3x damage to impact victim (doesn't widen nova bomb like Vortex or Shatter, just does more damage to the one target hit).
[b][u]Lance Alternative: A[/u][/b]
Same as above except instead of blinking Lance, the regular "Lance travels farther and faster" perk is included.
(Bleeding Light moved to ability mods).

-Hits slightly decrease Nova Bomb cool down. Kills Significantly decrease Nova Bomb cool down. In PVE, the bigger the target hit, the more super energy gained.
In PVP, Soul Rip takes from enemy's super charge bar, to add to the user's (Doesn't drastically deplete enemy supers, also doesn't drastically fill user's. Does, however, affect more than currently).

Nova Bomb gains lock on tracking system similar to Truth and/or Gjallarhorn.
It is auto targeting though. When your super is activated, the game checks your screen and searches for targets with health that are nearest to the center of your screen. The NB will lock onto what's closest to the center, and be sent.
[i]Slightly slows animation. Won't register super as used if killed during animation.[/i]
[b][i]Bleeding Light[/i][/b]
If Nova Lance doesn't kill victim, it triggers a Bleeding Light effect which causes temporary damage decrease from the target, and heightened recovery to nearby allies for 7 seconds.
Bleeding Light will not proc if the Target dies, or if Nova Lance is used in PVP.

[b]Reasoning for Buff (Nova Bomb)[/b]
The reason I want a drastic buff to nova bomb is because it is a single activation super, unlike golden gun, hammer of sol, or even shadowshot (quiver). Because you only get one shot to use it, it really should be much more effective than it currently is and I think these additions could make the super much more fun to use. In its current state, it is way too high risk low reward. It's either played defensively, or as a zone control tactic, and I think that's such wasted potential. It should have defensive mechanics built in, but really have the flexibility to be used as a more viable offensive super in both PVP and PVE.
(I am a hunter main, but have a sentimental connection to the warlock class, so expect only good things)
The neutral game and especially other modifications need much more help but I'll leave that to you guys. How can we fix the Voidwalker's skill tree? I'll add good suggestions to the post.

-Shatter splits into 4 projectiles instead of 5.
-Vortex lasts 4 seconds instead of 3.5(current) or 5(original post).
-Bleeding Light made into ability mod, if anyone likes it. Maybe it could be added to an exotic instead.

For Nova Bomb and it's related perks, it needs these: Massive damage increase to PvE enemies. Majors and certain Ultras (mostly Crota Patrol Ultras) under the influence of no mods, or are more then 7 levels lower than the player can be killed instantly or loss [i]lots[/i] of health. Randall earns a fracture in his arms/legs at best. Vortex decreases Damage falloff from Nova bomb. Shatter stays the same. Lance holds you in place when prepping Nova Bomb, and player gains 10% increase in damage resistance during the prepping phase. Angry Magic actually tracks targets. By that, it homes on the nearest target unless the target is far enough away, and it begins tracking when its about 15m away from target. It also works in conjunction with Lance well, so one doesn't override the other and provides Nova sniping. For Grenades: Vortex grenades just do more damage Scatter grenades does more damage, and slightly tracks enemies within explosion radius (Nothing Manacles buffed to increase tracking). Axion Bolt seeks faster and has slight damage increase (5%)

5 RespuestasNot that it's too long and I won't read more that I read the first few changes and thought "Wow, this is a person who obviously isn't good as playing as a Warlock" Those changes are ridiculously overpowered and I can't support them. Voidwalker is a class that they truly got perfectly right.

Fist of havoc is a single activation super you can't use from a distance. It's harder to use, and you can't get a cross map kill with it

They should be returned back to ther state before the last update. Along with Titans. I still don't understand why either class changed specially the Voidwalkers. Out of the classes Voidwalkers were by far the most reasonably balanced characters. axion bolts were annoying but far from OP. I rarely, if ever, hear anyone claim that Nova Bombs were OP. They had a good chance at mass killing on Heavy but overall wasn't anything to crazy.

I primarily play as a Warlocks Voidwalker. I love the Nova Bomb, the Life Steal melee and basically how the concept of it is using the power of the universe itself, condensed into a single ball of explosive void energy, to completely obliterate anything and everything. Voidwalker has been my go to class. It is probably the most balanced. Sunsingers and Stormcallers just weren't that fun to me. Sunsingers were boring to me. Sure the self res is useful, but it forces you to save your super which isn't fun. It's original purpose was intended for support but support roles are really fun to play as. They are useful don't get me wrong, and some people like to play those types of roles but to me they aren't as fun. Stormcallers are ok, but they are very OP. It is somewhat fun but the Stormtrance gets a bit boring after awhile. It doesn't require much effort. You just activate it and go to town on everyone and that's it. It doesn't require much precision like the Nova Bomb cause with Nova Bomb you only have so much time to line up your shot before it lets go. Once you let a Nova Bomb go, the explosion when it hits and if you timed it right and see all of your enemies be deconstructed atom by atom by void radiation, is the most rewarding thing about being a Warlock.

I main a warlock, and I use Voidwalker frequently in the Crucible. Voidwalker is fine where it is. In fact, it is possibly the most balanced subclass in PVP next to Gunslinger.

I really hope Voidwalker is shown some love. I'd rather use that over the other subclasses. Feel more badass using that subclass.

So you want the throwable fist of havoc to be bigger then foh with no risk, fist of havoc must have a bigger aoe effect because you must get in close.

I agree with the vortex and think that lance needs a buff but instant is a little too much. Perhaps fist of havoc damage resistance on nova bomb, I seem to snipe those out of the air a little to often for it to be coincidence. And shatter doesn't need a buff you just need to learn to aim it by rotating the screen, you can make it all hot in one spot.

I think it would be cool to have an ability where Energy Drain causes an explosion in a cone behind the enemy you kill with melee and it can chain react on enemies that are caught and killed behind the intial blast. Killing legions of enemies with the wave of your hand. Yes please.

I like that, but as far as supers go I think they should all do way more damage in pve and have a ton more armor.

7 RespuestasYeah, let's give one of the strongest PvP classes a potential massive PvP buff. Meanwhile; Titan's only had about one [b]month[/b] of actually being [b]great[/b] in PvP before they were nerfed so hard that no one uses Sunbreaker anymore unless they're goofing around.

Vortex: Nice change Shatter: Your iteration seems too strong. The current version is great for clearing a wide range in front of you Lance: I like the blinking. I don't like making it single-target. Soul Rip: Makes sense but the PvP feature seems weird. Angry Magic: This will make nova bomb worse. Bleeding Light: Too crunchy. Not useful enough.

I have mastered the art of going right to left to throw the three bombs into a wider radius, and have stacked up many Space Magic medals in the crucible. From my understating, people want this being replaced with a scatter grenade like explosion. This, sounds very promising, but, i'm kinda disappointed that would be changing. Hopefully it is a good as it sounds.

Depending on how powerful the tracking projectiles are for the split nova bomb, it could be really powerful ( but void walker isn't a roaming super so that helps ). Bungie will take a while to do anything though considering they already have plans for warlock's ready to implement
