After playing the Division for about a month now, I'm very pleased with how the in-game matchmaking has worked out. Early on I had issues doing the harder challenges but now with everyone geared you don't even need a mic.
I honestly don't think I can come back to Destiny in the same way. The amount of time we waste finding groups with a third party app or website for end game activities is pretty absurd. I'm not trying to bash the game here but I think Division has spoiled me in that I have no desire to run endgame content anymore especially if I'm forced to go outside the game to find people to play with (none of my friends play this game anymore).
I don't see why we can't have optional matchmaking like in the Division. The content or mechanics in Destiny aren't even hard. But I think the option needs to be available in the future or I probably won't be getting Destiny 2. And I don't think I'm alone on that.

Well destiny is a very different game than the division. Destiny's endgame raids have puzzles and such in the division it's just shoot. There's nothing wrong with either but they have different needs for different types of games
-
1 RespuestaEnd game match making. The one thing The Division has on Destiny. And it only benefits people with no friends. The "Endgame" content in the Division is not difficult so there isn't a problem. Endgame in Destiny is more about mechanic than DPS.

The division is a good game I got sick of destiny nerfs and buffs then nerf and buff then nerf and buff again make up ur mind u useless pricks

16 RespuestasI love it too but it does have its setbacks. There are some who attempt to do the multi-party glitch through matchmaking. This means that as the last player is loading he gets kicked. It can take several attempts before you get a player to spawn in your server who isn't in your party. I got kicked 6 times in a row one day due to players trying to exploit this glitch. The other problem is the trolls. Unfortunately all matchmaking assigns one player as a leader who has the ability to kick. This is a good thing if you have someone on your team who doesn't contribute but expects to be carried through a challenging mission. Trolls are taking advantage of the leadership role. There is one player in particular who is a serial kicker. He waits until the last enemy is at a sliver of health and kicks everyone else (with one exception I know of when another player was his friend) depriving them of rewards. This happened to me yesterday in the Russian Consulate. I was invited by a friend near the end of the mission. Their 4th had left. As soon as the last AI was almost dead all of us got kicked and found ourselves in a safe house. I matched into another game. As it turns out one of the players had the same thing happen to him by the same player! That time two were kicked. When he messaged the player who wasn't the reply was "lol! Sucks to be you." Turns out there are a few on my friends list who have had the same thing happen to them. Same gamer tag. Due to the naming and shaming I can't warn anyone other than if you get matched into a challenging mission and the leader's gamer tag is of the undead amphibian spelled with 2 Gs, you'd be better of leaving and matchmake into another team. Most of the time I'm happy with the division's matchmaking.

1 RespuestaTotally agreed. If it's one thing The Division nailed, it's that. And I don't even own the game. Does Bungie remember a time when they made games with the choice to either play with your friends exclusively, or let the system set you up? 343 and dare I say hundreds of other developers still do that. So why Bungie can't just put optional matchmaking into its most popular activities, I'll never know.

7 RespuestasEditado por What: 4/6/2016 5:50:06 AMId make a thread about it but the site is f'ed up right now so Ill post here They released update notes and they are increasing the mats needed to craft parts. Its now going to take 15 blues to make one HE part 10 HE parts to make 1 Specialized HE part etc Plus drops will be lessened I love the game but its already difficult enough tog et good drops and the crafting system already costs enough. This could kill it for me. I dont like farming for BS

1 RespuestaBased on my experiences with Strikes, here are the kind of people you'd be matched with if Raids had matchmaking: 1. Supper-man: The guy who joins even though his mom said it's time for dinner 5 minutes ago. 2. Mr. Bean: The guy who is silent the whole time and has no idea what he is doing. 3. AFK: The person who spawns in but does not play at all. 4. The Deadbeat Dad: The person who goes "Be right back" at the worst moment and never comes back. 5. Rage-Quitter: Self-explanatory 6. The Joker: The person who just -blam!-s around the whole time. 7. The Yamcha: The person who dies the most and does not contribute at all.

The thing I keep in mind about the division and Ubisoft is that they have updated their game and released patches within the first month of release. How many patches has destiny had? Maybe 4 or 5?
-
4 RespuestasToo bad the division doesn't have any end game content. It'd be a much better game if it did
-
3 RespuestasAnd the majority of people it puts you with absolutely suck and are undergeared.
-
1 Respuesta1. Matchmaking is optional. 2. Players who are new to raiding should have already watched raid videos. That's a given. 3. Taking 2 minutes to explain an encounter will save you 2 hours of wiping. This is how matchmaking would be a success.
-
I love how it's an OPTION. and there aren't many mechanics so a mic isn't needed. haven't been playing for too long. barely level 8 but I'm loving it so far.

15 Respuestas"The division has spoiled me with easy content that can be done by randoms."
-
4 RespuestasBoring game gets more boring with every update. Matchmaking and trading make everything too easy and casual.
-
25 RespuestasOnly thing about matchmaking for raids is so many dont understand the mechanics of raids. Also some people don't have the patience to teach it. Division goal is plain and simple. You really don't have to explain what needs to happen. They are telling you what to do in game.
-
Be spoiled more after the 12th with in party trading
-
I hate playing with other players. I would kick them if I can. But it's cool when you know you're too weak to do something alone and need a friend.

Editado por The Dark Hadou: 4/6/2016 12:15:27 PMAgreed. The lack of optional MM, and Bungie's obstinacy over including it, is Destiny biggest failing, IMO. It's been nice being able to do whatever I want in The Division without having to leave the game, get my phone out and waste time finding randoms to play with. Nothing in Destiny is so difficult that it couldn't be done through optional MM either.

Dont forget these lames on the app are always asking for specifics so u can play with little Johny and his desticles friends .

Lol, i have no problem finding a group on destiny. It probably has a lot to do with my characters being 319+ and not having a shitty k/d. And lol @ division. I'd rather go back to ESO and I hate that game.

7 RespuestasEditado por Bob: 4/6/2016 2:30:47 AMhow much time do you waste looking for groups in destiny? I usually post it on lfg, and not even look at my screen and I just get in game invites in a few min. but the reason MM works in Division is because everything is straight forward, Destiny has mechanics
-
2 RespuestasDivision spoiled you... Face palm. (-_-)

Editado por Safari Farnsy: 4/6/2016 7:56:06 AMRaid Matchmaking for Destiny Players (102) Go with SBMM that includes some smarts behind the scenes including eval criteria like: * # of Raid CP completions * Level & gear ranking * Destiny Player Reputation e.g. "Part of the Crew" Award = avoid being voted as a JackArse by Community. Ok this is subjective and may actually require BUNGiE.INC to invest in their current & seemingly invisible feedback collection system! Etc..

7 RespuestasPetition to make oryx hardmode a matchmade activity. So op and everyone who agree with him know why they're wrong.

3 RespuestasThe matchmaking is nice but outside of that the game is shit, i lasted a week. Everything that people cried about in these forums regarding Destiny is exponentially worse in that game - crap endgame, nonsensical story, and grind grind grind at the mercy of a broken RNG system. It's like Destiny but with less content and more stupid.

The Division sucks ass
