Are Fusion Rifles Secretly Good?
So, Basically, I've noticed that, while using some Fusion Rifles, They really aren't bad.
I simply think its a matter of Competition and misunderstanding of the weapon.
MANY people I know assume you wanna max out range.
What I noticed is you actually need massive Stability on them in order to keep the spread tight and on target.
And then there is the competition. Shitguns And Lane Rifles are so easy to use in Destiny while fusion rifles require more skill over all. The weapon inherently requires more situational awareness to time charges and thumb skill due to having to hold a target.
The weapon relies on good positioning to function truly effectively (arguably even more so than snipers).
So, with the easier to use shotguns and snipers, the Fusion Rifles feel "underpowered" becaue they simply don't have the ease of use of the former 2.

5 Respuestasthey are secretly the worst special slot weapon directly because of nerfs, that you can play with "fairly well, but never a better substitute than sniper rifles (first) and shotguns (second) in PVE / PVP when exerting extreme practice and skill, but not general use" i feel like i've told this to every -blam!-tard that makes these posts, if you're doing well with a fusion rifle, it's because you're breaking your fingers on your damn controller practicing with it just like No Land Beyond, fusions are REALLY CRAP WEAPONS right now, especially compared to their prime, people are just experimenting with them the last 3 weeks because they are bored as hell and hipster 'tubers are showing off montages of them by no meaning is this the norm, and i have half a mind to think this is bungie subliminally trying to sway our thoughts from fighting for fusion rifle buffs seriously, ppl need to -blam!- off with all these "fusion rifles are actually okay" posts idgaf if you pulled out your dusty 'n rust fusion and had a few good games, bet you didn't exclusively use only that weapon, i bet you had some assists too, i bet your overall psychology was relaxed and fit because you were doing something new, i bet opponents were offguard because you were using an odd weapon in this meta, but trust me, it's not because of the fusion rifle itself i'm tired off all these damn dick-sucking posts trying to support fusion rifles, god damn battered wives, all of you TL;DR BUFF THE SHIT OUT OF FUSION RIFLES TO THE VERY LEAST, BACK TO THEIR GOLDEN AGE ...that is all

Editado por Brave: 4/7/2016 1:42:20 AMIt's no secret. They're good. Also you DO want max range. If you're using something like Ashraven's Flight you just aim at their feet and everything will hit. Thesan you can aim crotch or body and one hit kill. If you and I are medium range from each other and you shoot your high stability at me while I shoot my ranged at you, I will win. Range will prevent early spread.

3 RespuestasHell yeah. Fusion rifles stomp ass. All the people here saying they aren't good are probably hardcore suros, or hard light or Monte Carlo users. Pray and sprayers. Yeah it takes a bit more thumb action, but if you can get the rhythm of how fast they shoot, and lead your target just a little, it's a one shot kill. And it never gets old seeing your opponents body disintegrate with whatever burn you lit them up with. If you haven't been using them, try them out. It's definitely worth investing some time with. And really, what have you got to lose? It's only a game.

Not even secretly, fusion rifles will melt your ass lol. People just dont want to learn how to charge a fusion rifle in time before they get waxed up. So they cry about how much they suck..

I feel I do way better with fusions than snipers

I've had to relearn how to use them for the 5th time, but they are good when you can get them to work but that doesn't mean they are perfect by any means. The beam spread is random, beams will disappear if you die before they hit anything, them not being hitscan leads to having a slight travel time which is highly affected by lag. I can use them fine, but I can still see that they have stuff wrong with them.

I have always liked fusions. They are inconsistent and thats the problem. I know my fusions and how to use them best but there are times when I know damn well the guy I just shot should be purple vapor but he shotguns me.

Try out the Telesto in crucible. You will be pleasantly surprised.

Problem is: -They connected projectile speed to the range stat on fusion rifles. -They don't land crits and their spread is terrible so if a single bolt misses, you're essentially toast. -They're harder to use and don't net you any advantage unless you're in the most niche situation. -Bungie keeps nerfing them. Even when no one is using them. I was using a fusion rifle today and got a few good kills. Unfortunately, the gun with good range and stability couldn't kill a guy at 15-20 feet. Note: This is the FWC variant of the Thesan. So it has good range and almost max impact meaning it requires only 4 bolts for a kill. Despite a 2/3 full stability bar and me adjusting for recoil. The gun is about as consistent as an ugly hooker. I ended up using it like a shotgun hip firing point blank at people just for kicks.

The single, most effective way to judge whether or not fusions are good is to nerf them. Only then will they be on a level that's on par with the game.

They aren't bad, but inconsistent like melees and handcanons. The hit registration is off.
