#1. "He dodged the Vietnam war draft."
Not true. http://www.snopes.com/bernie-sanders-dodged-draft/
#2. "He wrote a '-blam!- essay'."
Key word: Context. http://www.snopes.com/bernie-sanders-essay/
Also, this is an article that was written 44 years ago, why make it an issue now?
#3. "He has a super PAC, he lied."
Not true, a Google search will immediately tell you that his campaign is funded by 99.98% campaign donations 00.02% other groups.
Look here as well.

#4. "He voted against the Iraq war but voted for funding it and other various wars."
He has stated clearly that he is not a pacifist, that military action should always be on the table but must always be considered the LAST resort, not the first. There's also a difference between supporting a war and supporting the troops. http://www.politico.com/magazine/story/2016/02/bernie-sanders-foreign-poicy-213619
#5. "He bought an Audi R8 using campaign donations for $172,000."
Pure conjecture. http://www.snopes.com/bernie-sanders-audi-8/
#6. "He wants open borders."
Uh no, he has stated that pure open borders would be what he calls a "Koch Brothers" policy. Meaning more low wage immigrant workers in place of American workers.
#7. "0.005% tax on Wall Street speculation to fund tuition-free public education will mean they will be run by government rule."
What? 3/4 of students already attend public universities largely financed by state governments, and they're not run by government rules, and there's no reason why they would be under this.
#8. "No one will vote for a socialist."
The nations most beloved programs are social insurance. Highways are a social expenditure as is the military, as are national parks, Medicare and social security.
The real problem is excessive socialism for the rich: Bailouts of Wall Street, subsidies for big pharma and big ag, monopolization by cable companies and giant health insurers, giant CEO tax deductible pay packages, offshore tax shelters, all of which Bernie wants to end or prevent.

36 RespuestasI love how it's been drilled into people's skulls that Socialism is bad because "they" say so. It's like people aren't capable of forming their own opinions and just parrot what their party tells them to say. Too much sports in politics!

11 RespuestasDemocratic socialism will NEVER work in the United States.

1 RespuestaHere's how liberals argue: 1.) Change the definition of a word (SJWs) 2.) Say everyone who doesn't agree with them is uneducated and under 18 (check below) 3.) Argue semantics to disprove an idea (check the first link) 4.) Say that their ideology isn't related to communism whatsoever (Lenin has different to say)

4 RespuestasYet even if Bernie makes it to pres.....he will get nothing done. He has a past history of doing nothing, a socialist agenda and is running against Hillary. He has little chance.

2 RespuestasWhen I was in high school, the thing that was drilled into my head was that Socialism was evil and that all forms of Socialism would be the end of America. Then, when I was in my senior year, I took a government class (AP class), and was introduced to a book called "The Jungle" by Upton Sinclair. This government class was related to my AP English class, because the government teacher (a left-leaning independent) was working together with my AP English professor (a heavy conservative at the time, now a moderate teaching at the community college) to get more awareness of government and critical thinking skills. I highly recommend for everyone to read it, since it goes into detail about working conditions of working class Americans prior to the Socialist movement of America. Also, once I hit college, the first few things that was covered in the Intro to Political Science class I took indicated that America is not a pure capitalist society, and that it is a marble cake type of economic and governmental system, which is true, given the socialist policies that America has adopted, as well as some economic ideas that stemmed from the Socialist movement. One thing I hear from people in this area (this area has a very low high school graduation rate, but the college graduation rate is going up because of the UC, though that does not account for the college graduates leaving this area afterwards, which I can't blame them: The people living in this town hate anyone who is liberal and the school's main political leaning for the students is majority liberal, or left-leaning), anyone who votes for a socialist or supports a socialist (aka Bernie Sanders) is a moron, an idiot, a dumbass, etc. This is ironic, since a majority of the UC students (both undergraduate, and graduate) support Bernie Sanders, while the townsfolk are mostly aged and have not really attended any schooling past high school, which is kind of expected, since this area is baby boomer paradise, and all the baby boomers really needed was a high school education at the time to own a house, a car, and start a family.

I've been quoted here, which is fine, I don't care, I'm just tired of talking about this, so to anyone just seeing this, understand that I'm not here viewing nor responding to anymore responses to my post.

2 Respuestas"Stalin became an underground political agitator, taking part in labor demonstrations and strikes. He adopted the name Koba, after a fictional Georgian outlaw-hero, and joined the more militant wing of the Marxist Social Democratic movement, the Bolsheviks, led by Vladimir Lenin. " You need to enlighten yourself of what "socialism" can lead to. Stalin revolutionized the industrial, political and militant innovation within the Soviets and with the money Bernie Sanders would spent in an attempt to "save us" would decimate all trade and induce poverty and overall, more death.

7 RespuestasBernie wants to use 1 trillion dollars to bring 13 million jobs back (which will be like 1/20 of our debt if that happens) but pay it with only a annual tax of 100 billion dollars Sorry to say but yeah that's way past his election time and probably life
