Edit: [b][i][u]THIS IS NOT A SIMPLE STORY[/u][/i][/b] i feel like people wont fully read through this because of what they see from the start. If you have no interest in the back story, go to the bottom of the post, and read the instructions. The year is 2237. Earth has been enslaved by the alien race known as the Lynils, and only a small resistance of human fighters remain. The weapons of earth cannot hope to match the weapons of the Lynils, and as such the resistance is only prolonging the inevitable. In an effort to break the humans will, the Lynils take all of their POWs and decide to execute them, in a way that has horrified humans for years. Gas chambers. Millions if humans were gassed, but for some reason, thousands survived the chamber. They were kept alive for study, and the Lynils found out they had made a terrible mistake. For some reason, unknown to either side, the gas that the Lynils used, a gas toxic to their kind, changed the humans in strange ways, giving each survivor a unique power or ability, with no two humans having the same power. Weeks after this discovery, the unique humans, known as defiers, caused a massive jail break, and allowed all the other defiers and regular humans to escape. The defiers, followed by the regular human friends then fought back against the Lynils, and because of their powers, were victorious. Unfortunately, the Lynils secrets, including the gas they used, was lost in the war that lasted for 100 years after. Many defiers died, but those who didnt found out that they also were changed, in that they could live for many many years longer then other humans, so as the regulars(not super humans) died out, the defiers lived on, some becoming worshipped as gods. It is now 2410 The Earth is once again in chaos, but it is now a civil war that rages on the surface. A large number of defiers, convinced that they were gods, have taken control of the capital city of the Earth, Paris France. They have gained many regulars supports, and have gained a large following, with enough regulars and Defiers to become an immense army. They are now called the Empire of the Chosen, with the defiers as their Head of Command, and regulars looked at like they are second class citizens. The other defiers and regulars who disagree have settled in Washington D.C, and believe that defiers are not gods, but instead destined to die as servants to the regulars. They are known as the Awakened Ones, with the regulars in control of the government, and the defiers as soldiers, workers, and equals. [b][i][u]if you skipped the story, start here[/u][/i][/b] It is now your time to choose your side. You are a defier, and your powers are given to you by a superpower generator i have. You tell me what side you want, and i will tell you what power you get. Keep in mind, [b][i][u]NO ONE[/u][/i][/b] is getting any power that could be of a god, such as omnicense, omnipotence, or omnipresence. Thats unfair for this context and frankly stupid. Everyone will have one power, and your power will be unique. No one will have your power. Pros of Empire of the Chosen: As a defier, you are considered a god, and worshipped, as well as put on the head of command. Cons: your people fear you, and are more likely to do as you say not because they want to, but because they are afraid you will slaughter them and their families if they dont obey. Pros of The Awakened Ones: You are on equal footing with all your regular counterparts, and as such get treated like friends, and as such are respected by all. Your soldiers eagerly follow you into battle Cons: with regulars in control of the government, you cannot always get plans of attack done quickly. Although you are there to serve regulars, all defiers feel like the rewards out weight the risks. The regulars do not always agree. Will you join the battle?? Side note: once you have your powers and side, feel free to role-play all you want.
