We already had it in SRL. I warned you all.

pay to win is when you can buy something in a game that gives you an advantage over other people srl the sparrows were the same speed as others, they were no higher as for this update, buying something that is 3 defence wont make you a god
-
SRL wasn't pay to win, neither is this lmao
-
There is no "pay to win" system in sight right now. You're overreacting.
-
1 RespuestaIsn't buying the game technically "pay to win"?
-
1 RespuestaI'll stop playing destiny if it did ever become pay to win, but since it hasn't happened yet and there is no evidence it's definitely going to happen, I'm cool.
if it does go PTW I still won't be upset, I'll just stop playing
-
0.00% pay to win. Time to make up something else to bitch about.
-
I won't be purchasing anything from Eververse. I could care less what people spend their money on. So if they buy armour so be it. The RNG in Destiny is cruel to say the least. Having said that when you do finally get a good drop it makes the activity you just completed even more enjoyable. For me buying gear would take away from the fun. Just my opinion.

17 RespuestasIt's NOT pay to win. You have the option to pay 200 silver for armor that has 3 defense. So let's say you are wearing full raid gear, your max light is 315. If you spend your money on the boxes that have a chance to get the specific armor you want you get it at 3 defense. With the 1 for 1 infusion system coming in april, you can infuse your 315 raid helm into the 3 spektar to turn it to 315. You do that with all your best armor you still end up as 315 light level. No advantages, no increased light, No pay to win. You just look they way you want to look. Don't trust everything players say on here, if you do your own research then you won't be so confused. Watch the stream, But be warned you will get hyped 😂
-
SRL was never pay to win. Maybe you need to learn what pay to win is since destiny isn't pay to win.

Editado por Verity, Bane of LFG: 4/3/2016 3:35:09 PMThis is how I see it: It's not pay to win unless there is a weapon that you can only get by buying it. These Sterling Treasures only give vanity items, and not just that, ARMOR vanity items. Yes, I know that you can infuse them to 335, but you first have to get the 335 piece of armor. Edit 1: It should be noted that you DON'T HAVE TO BUY THEM. You can earn 3 a week, one of which is just given to you by the Postmaster!

At first I was somewhat concerned, then I played Warframe and seen how it was to get new weapons. Yikes.

Stop complaining

11 RespuestasEditado por WorkadayLemur72: 4/3/2016 12:31:21 PMThis is hilarious. People are worrying about Destiny becoming pay to win. Why worry or even care about that? If you, like most(including me), don't like the whole pay to win scenario then when, and if it happens, just stop playing and play another game. Its just a game ffs. Some people get too invested in worthless stuff.....
-
4 RespuestasThere is no pay to win. If you pay you get level 3 gear which can be infused with the gear you already have grinder for. Note the low light level. If you pay for a level 3 gear that's what you get.
-
7 RespuestasEditado por C-Sentinel: 4/3/2016 6:22:17 AMAnyone who thinks this is pay to win is either a casual or 12 years old. Someone who has been gaming long enough or has more than a middle school level education knows what pay to win actually is.
-
4 RespuestasHow the Fvck is it pay to win. Yes I can spend a shit load of silver to get a full set of spektar gear.... But wait what it's only level 3 light. Oh well looks like equipping my old gear to actually play the game to get 335 gear to infuse into it....... Are you lot fvcking stupid or what... Even retards have more brain power than you lot...... Who Fvcking cares if Eva sells it. It's random and it's my Fvcking money. Now go outside and get some fresh air. The pixels are rotting your brain. Oh and Muted......

1 RespuestaI think the phrase "pay to win" is awfully subjective. Has Bungie been selling more shit? Have they sold xp boosters? Will they be selling faction rep boosters? Yes No, in my book that is not "pay to win" but I think they will sell whatever they can eventually. IF people buy it. These so called Desticles will defend anything. Yea they did say that nothing would be beyond cosmetic. That's their words. I don't have alink but someone posted it earlier. They said verbatim:only cosmetic. Is a rep booster cosmetic? No but it's not a guaranteed advantage either. I don't particularly care either way but i can see the slippery slope that people talked about. It IS real, there's no denying that. If you all are ok with it then i see no reason to tell you how to spend your money or if you're a young guy then your parent's money. I don't care for emotes so i just don't buy it. In any event, argue til the cows come home. Voice your like/dislike with your wallet. That's what you can do. Have a good one, guys n gals

4 RespuestasIf people cant see where this is heading then they deserve it.
-
5 RespuestasOk here is how I look at it. you can pay to gain rep boosts. You can pay to get boosts for everything at once and unlimited if you pay enough.. So if players could currently pay for Nightfall XP boost and the rest of the player base couldn't you wouldn't consider that pay to win? paying = faster progression ... it's not just cosmetic anymore
-
5 RespuestasI agree. We're not there yet, but the pattern is alarming. I see a lot of people arguing the point of view of "it's my money, it doesn't effect you" but the truth of it is is that each previous eververse addition per event, in my opinion, has been an experiment to see what people are willing to purchase. I said this in another thread, but from a business perspective, earning $10-20 from the consumer for emotes is likely more cost effective for bungie as a company rather than $15-20 for a TDB or HoW. So as long as people continue to purchase through eververse, it actually does effect the entire community.
-
6 RespuestasIf they sold a double barrel, fan fire shotgun with explosive rounds..that my young friend, is pay to win
-
When it actually happens I probably won't be very happy. But since it's not, and anyone with a god damn brain can see it's not, I'm fine.
-
11 RespuestasPuppets will flock to them...it's sad really. I was telling people when micro transactions first came out that this is going to end up in a bad place. Here we are.
-
11 Respuestas90% of the people on these forums are just sheep. "Hur dur it ain't make no difference cause the stats ain't that good at first and they done drop in differental places". Armor that can be bought with real money and has stats, no matter how significant or insignificant is wrong. Bungie flat out lied when they said cosmetic only and you retards are still supporting them.
-
Just because it's light level 3 gear doesn't mean Bungie lied. The gear itself will of course require level 40 or around there, so even with the 100% infusion or any other factors, you are getting less than equal gear to what you have. It's cosmetic, dumbass.
-
I leveled up all of my characters from 0-40 in 3 days (purchased destiny at TTK) had a spark for my Titan then once I got the picture of how the game worked I bought a couple red bulls, stacked bounties and completed quest lines. I paid for boosted xp, is that pay to win? Cause that's way more pay to win than "I'm gonna buy silver, and purchase boxes which I'll get for free, in hopes of some gear light level 3 that I'll have to infuse up, and hopefully they have good rolls that are different from the 75 legendary armor engrams I'll be encoding over the next few weeks"
