Pretty sick of people playing Control like it's Clash. So, in the future, when IB is an objective-based mode, please offer objective-based bounties rather than kill-based bounties. And yes, I mean remove ALL kill-based bounties, [u]unless they have an objective-based component [/u](see Suggested Bounties, below). Under this bounty system, you would be rewarded for focusing on the capturing and holding of zones, and killing enemies within them. Killing enemies elsewhere on the map may help your team win, but won't help you complete bounties.
Suggested Bounties (a mix of Daily and Weekly):
1. Capture XX zones.
2. Kill XX enemies who are capturing a zone. (This bounty could be expanded into multiple bounties that are weapon class-specific, as well as grenades, melees, and supers)
3. Get XX multi-kills on enemies capturing a zone.
4. Re-capture a zone within one minute of your enemies capturing it XX times.
5. Control all zones XX times.
6. Win a match in which your enemies have controlled all zones.
7. Win a match with a zone capture (i.e. the zone capture is the "nail in the coffin")
8. Capture Zone B first XX times.
9. Capture XX zones by yourself.
10. If you flip advantageous spawns by capturing the "wrong" zone, all bounty progress is lost. (I'm only half joking)
Other ideas?

"Capture two flags in one life"
"Capture the most flags in a match"
"Neutralize 15 zones"
"+2 for captures, -1 for dying while trying. Reach 20 points."

Players would be intentionally trying to let the enemy team capture the zones. This could lead to some frustration with other players who have already completed or don't care about the Bounty. The general idea of using Bounties to encourage objective play is a solid one though. Thanks for the feedback.

Agreed there is too much focus on killing as far as who gets rewarded and the associated glory. Just promotes camping.

Ill be honest, in iron banner I assist with control points but rarely capture, I'll head past and cut off the enemies before they can push the control point and I generally end up dominating the score board. But you do make a good point

The problem with requiring objective completions for bounties is that A) completing the objective yourself isn't the only way to contribute its completion, and B) capturing very many points requires you to not have them to begin with, and ideally your team will only capture two points in a match and won't have take either of them from the enemy team. A lot of your ideas require allowing the enemy team to capture points, which absolutely shouldn't be a requirement in order to complete bounties.

Agreed - I have collected 6 Objectively Correct medals this IB and I'm not really trying - so almost everyone else must be completely ignoring the zones! Perhaps Zone Control IB soon?

And no reason to have the same bounty two days in a row. (Forgot to turn one in and now can only do two bounties today. My fault I know, but still...) Remember the y1 bounty - "capture 15 zones" 1. Neutralize XX zones 2. Defend XX zones (stop them from neutralizing XX zones)

An increase in the number of points would incentivise the objective. Although having bounties geared towards the objective is just as good. Every game mode is about "kill as much as you can" and if the enemy camps near the objective they can almost certainly rake in the kills. It would be good to see the enemy team losing with having the most kills just to show that the objective is more important. (It happens but not often enough) Bungie are still in the develop"mental" phase and the trickle of updates is painful. D1 is a lost cause so hopefully D2 can supersede it's predecessor.

I agree. Most definitely need #1 and #8. Just adding those two and keeping the kill based ones that we have now would make things a whole lot better. If players are forced to go fight to capture zone B first, then they will realize how important it is to do so. They will realize that they will win most of those games when they cap B first.

The aim of the game is to kill people, this is not an objective based game type, an objective based game type is DOMINATION. In domination the only way you score points is to capture zones... the more zones you hold the more points you get every 5 or 10 seconds. In control the MAIN thing people should be focusing on is killing, the Second thing people should be focused on is not dying as this gives the other team points and then the third thing is capture the base. Generally in a game i will capture the base we spawn at, rush to B and attempt to capture that BUT if the other team has this base i dont just keep rushing in like a scrub giving the other team 200 points everytime they kill me... i play to the main aim of the game which is get kills and wait for the right time to push and capture B. The biggest problem we have is scrubs think the main aim is to capture the zones at all costs. Heres a comment i saw below... 3 RespuestasIt's awful... Recently had a match with a KD of 0.29, (go ahead and laugh) but I captured 12 zones. My teammates sent hate mail about my KD saying I suck. I told them that "I was tanking deaths and trying help you idiots win. Instead, you BS me as well as making do all the objective work." We need clash back or else bring more objective based IB bounties.

As you know we get points for killing people in this week's iron banner clash, but it seems there's a way to continually get points in the background while you do this! And, you know what? It's super effective, my team usually wins, sometimes even with lower K/D!! There are these flags and letters on the map and it seems that you run to it, stand there until it does this weird color change, then you can just go about your day playing clash. Heck, if your team does it to a second one you keep gaining even more points! I highly recommend doing this before people catch on and Bungo fixes it! Happy hunting, Guardians![/i]

5 RespuestasIn year one the bounties were more control than this. Why put a "kill enemies with precision shot" or "kill 15 enemies with primary" when that isn't the idea of control? Now everyone just run and kill, but what about capture the zone? Well we need to ask to the player who kill 20 enemies and capture 0 zones. This is a good idea.

OH HELL YEAH! great post. i love crucible, in particular IB but i would like a team that plays the objective as first priority. last night was a horror. I tried capping but it was difficult in some games some of my teammates would just blow right past the flag. i realize the whole team should not try to cap 1 flag but having 2 or 3 will cap faster.
