I never played it, though. Closest I have played to Doom was Halo CE.

Very different games. Doom is gory as hell with satanic demon like over tones with over the top brutal weapons like chainsaws etc... Not sure how that compares to the original halo but hey I could be wrong.

No sprinting? Arena style gameplay?

My first thought while playing was, wow feels like the original halo and looks awesome! And the marine customization is very similar to halo 5.
