April Update is actually pretty disappointing (not a hate post)

I do love Destiny, but after watching the stream yesterday I was frustrated about a few things. 1. "New" faction gear looks exactly the same as the current gear. I get that they weren't going to completely redesign it but this doesn't even look like a reskin it just looks like the same exact gear. 2. Is there a way to turn chroma off? Tbh I didn't think the chroma effect looked good on any of the gear they showed off, so personally I wouldn't want to use it at all, but I didn't see an option on a piece of gear that said "turn chroma off". If I end up having to use chroma I'll be pretty mad about it. 3. So I have to wear ugly PoE reskinned gear to have the taken look? What was so hard about just making it a shader? Couldn't they have made it an unlockable shader like the two KF shaders? This really doesn't make sense to me. 4. "Year 1 weapon are coming back!" Yea, and you picked the oldest and most useless ones to bring back too. Oooooh, Shadow Price, that was such a good gun!......... back in vanilla destiny. Now in the current meta it's trash. LDR and Longbow are the only relevant ones, maybe Two to the Morgue as well, but the rest are just meh. You also didn't bring back a SINGLE YEAR 1 PULSE RIFLE, WHAT THE ACTUAL F*CK BUNGIE?!! Two of each type of primary but no pulse rifles?? What a colossal disappointment. 5. Sterling treasure in Eververse.....*sigh*. I know it's not pay-to-win, but it's pretty clear that bungie is moving further and further down the road to pay-to-win with each passing update. First it was just emotes, then it was exclusive masks that are now unobtainable, then it was sparrows and exclusive SRL gear. Now it's gear with actual relevant perks as well as ships, faction boosters, and chroma. I shiver thinking about what it'll be next. There were so many things they could've done right with this update, and so few things that they actually did get right. 1:1 infusion and more vault space are both A+ moves, and it's great how we'll have more places to earn max-light gear, but I still can't help but feel bittersweet about the whole thing, especially knowing that we'll still have to grind our lives away to get the specific gear we want. (Side note: RIP pulse rifles when the crucible update comes out. I'm calling it now.)
