TWICE in 2 matches of Iron Banana as a Hunter this morning, I threw the Flux Grenade at Warlock (in Widow's Court) and at Titan (in Frontier) and they got attached to 'em and exploded as I blinked away from 'em, but they survived the explosion.
Those 2 matches are not laggy (as far as I can tell), but they were stomping us.
As the description of the Flux Grenade says: Arc explosive grenade which deals additional damage when attached to enemies.
ADDITIONAL DAMAGE WHEN ATTACHED TO ENEMIES
Shouldn't this be able to 'one-shot' the Crucible players, no matter how high their defense is? And yet, they still survived those explosions when they got attached by the grenades!
Imo, those attachable grenades (of all classes) need to be buffed to 'one-shot' the Crucible players.
EDIT: And no, they did not get any boosts in Overshield from their Supers/Melees.
EDIT: I want to get this straight: I know that Warlock certainly do not wear The Ram (he was wearing Samsara Helmet). I do not know what their elemental defense on their chest armor are. For 2nd straight matches that I've successfully attached the Flux Grenade on those 2 and they both survived.
I would like to add that the power of the grenade increase when attached, which should cancel out the elemental defense their chest armor has.
Just went to Iron Banner this morning and threw that grenade at Hunter (YES, A HUNTER) and he survived the attached Flux Grenade. :/

1 RespuestaALL ATTACHABLE GRENADES ONE-SHOT There are several factors as to why they didn't die, it could be any one of them: - Level Advantages - Lag (I mean it IB of course there's a lag) - Armor probably has Arc Damage Reduction - Blinked or Shadestepped out of it - Your Lying ATTACHABLE GRENADES ARE FINE DON'T UNBALANCE PVP MORE THAN WHAT IT IS ALREADY.
-
If you want to guarantee a flux kill. Shoot once then stick. Or stick then shoot.
-
They nerfed the shit out of them
-
Flux does like 90 less damage then fusions. So always use skip grenades, or use a Titan/warlock
-
Idk what ur smoking lol, if they stick they are always a one hit kill. The only grenade that needs a buff is the one that tracks.
-
You can blink out of attachable grenades if the timing is right. I have no idea about Titans but he might have had absolute max armour build with chest piece and everything. But flux grenades are underpowered for some reason when compared to fusion and magnetic. There's no reason it shouldn't be.
-
I agree with you essentially because fusions can one hit regardless of how much armour they have
-
Either elemental chest is protecting them or their light advantage or both
-
4 RespuestasIs this actually for real. Buff the scumiest and least skill taking grenade in the game to even further extent. Well what a great -blam!-ing idea. Lets make it kill radiant skins as well to make it as balances and rewarding as possible...
-
13 RespuestasFlux grenades do 201 damage when attached if level advantages are enabled and everything else is held constant. If that is the case, that is survivable by a max armor titan and a ram wearing warlock. It is my personal opinion that flux and magnetic grenades do as much damage as a fusion grenade so this doesn't happen. With that though, if you case, they were probably a higher light level than you, which is why it didn't kill.
-
what was your light level, vs there light level? if there was more than a ~7 point diff then no they won't kill when attached, especially if the guy is wearing armor which gives additional protection when using a specific subclass
-
7 RespuestasI don't know when or why flux grenades were nerfed, but they used to 1 shot everything. At a certain point they stopped working on titans and warlocks. For whatever reason, the fusions and magnetics have no problem killing still. Dunno why the change for only one of the grenades.
-
Yes, warlock and titan sticky grenades kill when attached so should the hunters. I main a titan, fair is fair.
-
Why is our flux the weakest out of all stickys???!!!
-
3 RespuestasActually fusion and magnetic gernades kill on attachment.
-
That was most certainly high armor. Second fusion grenades do not need a buff. Want to buff a sunbreaker grenade after their super got nerfed somewhat to have it come back into the crucible some more? I for one do not.
-
Max armor and arc defence chest will let you take a grenade and survive also a shoulder charge
-
magnetic granade can use some buff
-
Arc defence... Get yo perks strait
-
2 RespuestasI've shoulder charged people and they will live through it.
-
If a warlock is running ram and max armor and a class specific armor boosting chest piece or a striker is running unstoppable and a class specific armor boosting chest piece, they can survive. A hunter cannot survive no matter what
-
Could have been a higher light, using high armor build, chest piece to increase armor, lag, or any combination of these. Ibhighly disagree though. With how much stickies track, I'm surprised they still one hit. They have higher aim assist then snipers.
-
Welcome to lag my friend

Sometimes do you find yourself losing gunfights when you really shouldn't have, do you find your melee attacks do less damage than your enemies (even though it's the same melee attack)? Sometimes do you find in general you get owned by players clearly below your skill level? If you answered yes to 1 or all of these then you've been hit by what I like to call Destinys fixed match making and manipulation of everything you do! It's Bungies way of saying 'Yup look at him go, he's doing great. Let's put a stop to that' All of a sudden after a really good spell you'll find yourself losing, that's because Bungie -blam!-s you over, they turn down your aim assist and damage, both incoming and outgoing and turn it all up for people you're up against! This can be the only explination as to why somedays you're a god and others you feel like a noob even against level 4 players with 180 Grimoire that simply run around the map seemingly blind, yet somehow beat the shit out of you even though you're using Thorn and they are using a blue hand canon with the rate of fire the same as a sloth making babies!
-
4 RespuestasYou're joking? If a guy is sitting around the corner, throw it next to them, it'll kill. It's a one hit kill with easy aim assist.
