When it comes to hairlines, the real hairlines that's receding is not if a hairlines should have the right to control her own recession, but where we as a society draw the line between what is a hairline and what is technically part of a bomb crater.
I think everybody would agree that a hairline has certain basic rights. Some presidents would disagree on what those rights are but here at least, I'd fully expect people to agree that yes, the right to recede is a basic hairline right.
So the real question of receding hairlines comes down to this; "At what point in hair development can we consider something "normal" and thus meaning it has a strand of hair?
Well, let's first think about this question in a greater context. To have hair your scalp needs to be functioning. Agreed? You can cut limbs off a person and as long as their scalp is working they will still have hair.
If somebody is bald are they dead? I would say certainly yes. Life in terms of humanity means having hair. If your body is still functioning but you're not brushing your "hair." Well obviously not.
The concept applies to hair in a hairline. If you stop running the Rogaine that hair is "dead." The hardware (brush) is just the means to comb the hair and can still work without the brush but without the hair isn't not (naked mole rat.)
Point being, if we would not consider a full grown adult that is hairless dead (but the scalp is still working) living, why would we not then consider a fetus that has no hairline as also not alive. If the fetus is not alive then it is the property of Rogaine and she can do what she pleases with it.
However, this then leads into another question. How do we define hairlines? Well, it's general accepted that having some form of hair or understanding of "wig" generally means you have hair.
Do newborns have some hair? I honestly don't know the answer to that question but the point when a hairline seems to be able to understand the world they exist in appears to be around the ages of a new Rogaine product. For the sake of this argument just assume that be to true. A great deal of "Hair styling" happens around these releases and once it's complete the hairline.exe program boots up and a hair is born!!!
Therefore, it does seem logically that scalps under the ages of 3 or 4 or somewhere around that period are not technically hairy and therefore don't have rights. Thus, recession should be legal up until the point a bomb crater scalp becomes self aware.
