I'm a Hunter main and proud. I also like my titan and warlock.I enjoy playing this game. I don't whinge about buffs or nerfs, just find a way to beat each problem

Well, I'll give you a quick history. [b]We deserve it[/b] Okay, so[b] before you think, oh huntards cry nerf[/b], that's[b] absolutely the furthest thing from actual fact[/b]. Let's bring you to [b]year one.[/b] [b]Bladedancers[/b]. The bane of poor souls trying to survive the crucible. Not only was the invisible/blink combo just unreal in Year 1, the special itself was devastating. Lasted forever, killed everyone, and took major damage. Amazing special, and very enjoyable for the Bladedancer. Bladedancers were [b]so popular in the crucible, it was common to find yourself duelling another bladedancer[/b]. These things were nuts, and hella fun to play. Well the [b]community (obviously Titan and Warlock fans)[/b] became quite annoyed by this amazing super. It had the ability to wreck. They [b]screamed and begged nerf.[/b] Like, [b]ridiculous amounts of it[/b]. You think the forums got stuffed full of 1k yard Stare nerfs? [b]You have no idea[/b]. And of course,[b] like anyone using the OP toy at the time[/b], Bladedancers defended themselves with [b]spam, spite, hate, and "logic".[/b] I know, because [b]I'm one of them.[/b] Nevertheless it started a massive rift in the community, making anyone who didn't enjoy Bladedancer,[b] extremely spiteful of Hunters. [/b] The Dark Below didn't help the cause. The [b]acypholage Symbiote[/b] [b](even though made for vanilla, didn't become popular until TDB)[/b] became a death machine, offering a [b]4th shot for the Golden Gun users[/b] (again Hunters) to the point of cruelty in the Iron Banner specifically. [b]People were beginning to despise hunters almost as much as they hated Thorn[/b]. (Which by the way, shows up right in this time frame) Well, Bungie caved, in the[b] greasiest manner possible.[/b] They actually hit the Bladedancer with [b]3 separate secret nerfs, [/b]and 1 public one. Anyone who used the bladedancer can provide [b]solid evidence [/b]that they did in fact get secret nerfs. [b]Necessary? Yes[/b].[b] Greasy? Yes.[/b] So obviously bladedancers [b]either managed (me) or flocked to the next best, Golden Gun.[/b] (Coming from a meta of Thorn, you can understand why they chose this special) So of course House of Wolves went by ([b]Everyone spammed hunters.... mines yessssss????[/b]), and blink and stuff got nerfed, so on and so forth, Bladedancers were [b]quietly cut down to size by Bungie.[/b] The players didn't seem to really[b] mind all that much (I was pissed[/b]) and life kind of went on. Bungie[b] showed knowledge of how to handle subclasses nerfing[/b] (as this was their [b]finest work in HOW[/b], if you don't believe me, you're dirty christmas scrub lol) Jump to year 2. The Taken King. [b]Sunbreakers[/b]. Bungie[b] completely ignored any lesson they learned with bladedancers, to extreme levels.[/b] They near [b]tripled the Length [/b]of the actual super compared to Bladedancers, and they made [b]every move track you,[/b] and[b] kill you instantly.[/b] (anyone who remembers knows it was [b]out of -blam!-ing control[/b]) [i]***Remember those Bladedancers that defended their special with spam and hate? It's important here***[/i] [b]People[/b] started calling for nerfs. [b]Hardcore[/b]. I still don't think it was nerfed hard enough. ([b]over 700 people earned 7th column medals in 1 week as opposed to 4 people in 1 year.... should be enough evidence) [/b] Well, this [b]incited a hidden rage[/b], currently inside of the populace [b]from a year before of frustrations[/b]. They couldn't take it any more, [b]and instead of using the logic (posted below) they decided all hunters were trying to nerf them, and began to protect their precious special with spam and hate (remember Bladedancers?), ergo, Huntards.[/b] The Shadowshot Glitch itself [b]didn't help [/b]either. This was in the midst of the [b]Sunbreaker Fiasco,[/b] and players found out how to[b] abuse the Quiver feature and get unlimited Supers.[/b] [b]You better believe I used it. [/b] The second I heard someone activate [b]Sunbreaker, I started using the glitch.[/b] If [b]bungie wasn't going to do anything about this, we were[/b]. Hunters became the [b]self proclaimed Robin Hood's[/b] (about 50/50 in the community, [b]as who didn't want to at least try it)[/b] Well, that didn't help an [b]already unpopular class public relations wise[/b], running around the crucible spamming a special (Yeah, [b]how does it feel to have an OP super Sunbreakers? [/b] Pussies. lol) So, the logic and the TL;DR [b]1. Hunters were the most popular Class because of - Mines Yesssssss??? - Khepris Sting - Acypholage/Celestial Nighthawk - The awesomeness of Bladedancing/Golden Gun (always was the most popular class) - How easy it was to get good drops. For some reason hunters got max gear earlier than the rest - Blink and the fun it caused, and how it defended from Thorn - Invisibility to defend against Thorn [/b] So of course when someone stats you up (you can set it to private btw) he's going to find a Hunter, as your main. Chances are, you levelled it up first.

Take it from a Warlock, I don't hate Hunters. I like em' though I don't want to mess with them. I honestly am cool with the Shadestep thingy. The only reason peeps hate em is cause at times Shade Step is a LITTLE annoying, otherwise it is fair. Real threat is Twighlight since you can doge a Truth. Lol oh well. Ight' well you know me now. Hunters are cool although I would rather avoid them since I get rekt because of Shadestep. \(^_^)s

Generic "Do you have one of each class" thread. [i]99 % of the community replies that it has one of each.[/i] On the topic of nerf threads. [i]100 % of all nerf threads are said to be created by "huntards". [/i] There's something totally off with the math here. People are either lying about their classes, < 1% of the community (those with three of the same subclass and all hunters) is responsible for all the nerf threads OR it has simply become a thing to pin everything on one class. I'm leaning toward the latter.

In year one hunters had the best super but the forums were filled with nerf post for "fist of panic" and most of those post were from hunters.

You know why they hate us? There just mad because we have supers that pay off if you use them right because HUNTERS ARE THE ONLY CLASS THAT REQUIRE SKILL AND ACCURACY titans shouldn't complain they just panic and slam the ground and can shut down anything a golden gun shot can't even kill them Then there's warlocks they just throw a nova bomb in the complete other direction and somehow hit -blam!-ing everything Storm callers I'm not even gonna bother with your already dead

Mainly because the majority of hunter population are young...very young. They have this ego going around thinking they are the only ones that need skill to use. And if something kills them while they use their "skills" they deem it overpowered and whine on these forums. But that's only a few who do that. And as a result they give all hunters a bad name.

Because a small but vocal minority of hunters on the forums create loud and obnoxious shit posts that ruin it for everyone. Basically we have fallen victim to a bad sterotype, but like most stereotypes I feel it will run its course. For how long I don't know.

The belief is that almost every nerf can be traced to hunters
