There is hatred, but remember: this is a multi-billion dollar industry which entails [b]corporate counter-intelligence, espionage, propaganda[/b], legions of [b]paid trolls[/b], and [i]all[/i] aspects of [b]cyber warfare[/b]. That means that a lot of these forum posts are designed to [i]control, infiltrate, manipulate, and warp[/i] online discourse in regards to Destiny. You’ve probably run into them before — those seemingly random antagonizers who always end up diverting the conversation in forum posts on Bungie.net or Reddit away from the issue at hand, and towards a much different agenda. Hot-button issues like lack of linear in-game storyline/content, game bonuses, overall demographic morale, corporate conspiracies, and even connection issues are among the most common targets of such attackers, known as internet “trolls” or “shills,” who in many cases are nothing more than paid lackeys hired by industry competitors and other international third-party organizations to sway and ultimately control public opinion. They have two main objectives, 1.) to inject all sorts of false material onto the internet in order to destroy the reputation of its targets; and 2.) to use social sciences and other techniques to manipulate online discourse and activism to generate outcomes it considers desirable. All in order to disrupt Bungie's own PR and propaganda devices, and to strengthen their employers market position. And while most of these posts are seemingly just from disgruntled kids who were never disciplined by their parents, there is a real science that was designed to guide their opinions to work directly against Bungie's efforts in every way imaginable. They coordinate online stratagem to create a popular opinion structure on a [i]massive[/i] scale and to directly influence an entire online population with dissent and misaligned cognition. And trolls might be generally right about a certain aspect in regards to whatever platform is inherent, but they solidify that opinion structure for you when they put it into words. And then it becomes your words. And then you say 'Yes, Bungie sucks.' Or 'I hate nightfall rewards.' And then it turns into 'I'm leaving Destiny and I'm going to go and buy The Division.' It's a War for your Mind. But ultimately, it's a War for your MONEY. (Or your parent's money.) So please don't feed the trolls...

If you weren't around during HoW then I get why you're excited, but if you are a y1 player then wtf are you honestly excited for? I didn't expect much at all and Bungie was on the mark with what I expected. This is the Spring update? Really PoE re-hashed? They took out Skolas, the main boss from y1, and just added a scoring system? Does anyone remember how fun PoE was week 4 into HoW? Now I do think Bungie is going to raise the light cap during this update like they did in TTK but probably only by 5 light to get an even 340, but still I don't think they'll add anything after this update like new story or missions (maybe a time-gated exotic around E3?) I guess Bungie still have their Ace in the hole with Gjallarhorns y2 unveiling TBD, but still this update is trash. Destiny players are so starved for RNG drops and rewards I guess they'll accept anything? All I'm saying is from the look of how much fun the devs had playing it on their stream (sarcasm), this update is pretty much going to have everyone pissed off by May.

I'm pretty excited to be honest. I expected less than this. Also the new gear looks pretty neat.

A Strike using old assets. PoE + Taken enemies, again, old assets. How thrilling! How exciting! Literally, [i]LITERALLY[/i], zero new content. The only reason they're releasing this is to say they shipped something out. Remember, Destiny 2 was supposed to come out late this year. They had delays so they moved it to next year. Because of this delay, the live team is pushing out recycled content over and over and over again because they have nothing to show. The majority of Bungie is working on Destiny 2 - in layman's terms, the game is dead until next year unless the Fall DLC is substantial. I'm not getting my hopes up.

Because its not what I wanted. And its seems wrong. For example you can only get 335 gear from PoE or The Court of Oryx. The raid will only take you to 330. Its so amazingly backwards and the exact opposite of what people were hoping for.

What I hate about his community is that many people don't want to pay for content and this is FREE yet people are ASSUMING by the wording that they cut it from the original expansion. It's a free thing they gave us to keep us playing,it WAS NOT cut from the game.(some exotics might have been cut to be reworked or just cut from the game,that is not what I mean.)
