I've gotten to level 20 in Borderlands and can't see a reason why it would be better than Destiny, other than Claptrap being cute.

Heretic! This game comes with story and content included so is automatically better than Bungievision's rubbish.
In the DLC you can kill him ={
I see like no story whatsoever. Some magic lady just randomly talks to me sometimes. Other than that, go to the bounty board, get quest, do quest, repeat. And the game frustrates me unlike Destiny and The Division beta. I hate having a lot of choice in anything, but at least in The Division and Destiny I knew what everything meant and what it did. In Borderlands, it's not always clear as to what things do or what things mean. It's bad enough that I have to choose between a billion guns, but it makes it even worse when I can't even make a decision at all because I don't know what the heck things mean. I'm literally lugging around like 13 guns because I can't decide on what I want to use, partly because I don't know what some things mean. I just want to keep a handful, knowing what I like and what's good. Add to that gameplay that is more clunky, an art style that I'm not a fan of, an environment that is just rocks wherever you go, and even less dialogue than Destiny, I have no clue as to what the appeal is to Borderlands. Except for Claptrap being cute. >:|

Keep playing. Once you start getting purples, legendaries and (if you're uber lucky) pearlescents, the guns get a lot better (I've been dreaming of a full auto sniper rifle in Destiny). Borderlands 2 really clarifies a lot of what happened in Borderlands 1.

Editado por Reign of Bane: 3/21/2016 12:53:00 PMYour response made me smile. A magic lady that appears randomly hey? He he =} You really need to play through more of the campaign and the story comes to you from the magic lady and the dialogue between you and the other fantastic characters scattered around Pandora whilst doing the main and side missions. Choice a bad thing? So Instead of getting duplicates of the same crap over and over again like some shit-tier games you actually have a choice. I agree the sheer wealth of guns, mods etc. can be overwhelming at first, you have to look at the descriptions carefully as some guns and mods etc. that seem similar actually have different bonuses, those acquired from doing missions and beating bosses that usually have red text in the description are usually worth keeping. Beauty is in they eye of the beholder and I agree some of the scenery can be a little drab a bit like Mars is in Bungievision's failure. You made a fair point about the map and waypoint, at times it can be a little confusing. Claptrap can be funny but most the time he can be annoying and I just want to slap him silly. Moxxi is love, Moxxi is life and she's way cuter than claptrap imho. Whilst the original Borderlands is better than Bungievision's excrement, Borderlands 2 is significantly better than both games imho and well worth picking up as part of the THC of you haven't played it.

Pretty much every sniper I've gotten has looked the same except for a color swap. And I prefer fewer choices with obvious differences, not many choices with miniscule differences -- and differences I can't even understand.

They may look similar but the devil is in the detail. It takes a bit of getting used to and a bit of trial and error but you will never get exactly the same weapon twice, unlike some other games I could mention.
-
Never getting the same means nothing when there are things almost exactly identical to each other. And I'd take duplicates if it meant I actually understood every trait that the weapon has. I'm bad enough with making decisions when I know what everything is about. But when I have to make decisions and I can't even tell what some of the options mean, it makes me angry, annoyed and flustered, and I just want to stop playing the game. In Destiny and The Division, it was clearly stated and explained as to what everything is and does. This isn't true for Borderlands.

Also a bit of a heads up, to some people claptrap to borderlands is like jar jar binks to star wars
-
Screw you cheetah don't even think about compare claptrap to that shitbrain jar jar. Claptrap's a great character and an even better vault hunter.

When playing borderlands most fan agree that the gun variety (shotgun able to shoot rockets that kind of stuff) was best in the original. However if it's story you actually want and some better visuals borderlands 2 is where it's at. Btw if you're lost at what you're doing in the story it kinda goes like this. Vault hunter (you) hears of all the riches and loot in vault, Vault hunter goes on quest to find vault, to open said vault you need a key that can only be charged every 200 years, they key is split into multiple fragments, you go off killing various bandits doing misc. things for people to find fragments, atlas (a corporation on Pandora) hears about you murdering locals in search for vault and orders you to stop, you continue your quest and atlas tries to stop you.
