I remember. I remember the forums. We liked it. I promise you we liked it.
TTK wasn't bad.
Kings Fall
We liked it. We really liked it.
Just because you've gotten bored of something, doesn't mean it was bad. Clearly that means it was good.
We liked the new subclasses, we liked the new weapons, we liked the new armor, we liked the new story and more like able characters, we liked the intrigue....
It got great reviews.
It just got old, that doesn't mean it was bad...
Just clearing that up.
Edit: just came back from a business trip, surprised to see how much attention this has gotten lol
Apparently I need to clear something else up. When I say "we" I'm obviously talking about the community in general, of which I am a part, which means I can use the word "we". Of course there were exceptions.
Edit 2: I can't believe I have to explain this. I'm not speaking for the community. Im stating the way the community (in general) reacted. Im not giving my opinion. I'm saying that TTK got favorable reviews by critics, on the forums, on Reddit etc.
Some people didn't like TTK. I didn't say everyone liked it. Look I get it, some of y'all disagree with me, and that fine, give your opinions, discuss... Just don't be moronic about it. Everyone who has responded with "you don't speak for me"... I didn't.
Edit 3: also good = okay in my opinion. Not great. Not shitty. So I agree with those of y'all who are saying that it was just okay.

We quickly realized that the dreadnought wasn't as deep as promised. Court of Oryx was a total flop. Time gated stuff like the Sleeper Simulant quest which was a letdown. Plenty of data mined stuff not currently in the game. Terrible drop rates for crucible and Iron Banner. Triple RNG in the raid. Lack of ways to get to 320. Lack of 320 items to fuel the infusion system. Underwhelming raid weapons. Terrible Nightfall drops and no xp buff that made one of the most praised activity in year 1 obsolete. 3 of coins made exotics and Xur worthless. Class items with a light level and not affected by shaders. Items dropping at a light level way under your current character light level. All in all it took them way too long to update the game and the whole year 1 content that they took out in the blink of an eye. They took so much content out that TTK didn't last long. Don't forget that Destiny launched with barely any content at all and it's only with HoW that we felt we had "enough" stuff to do. But they had to make everything irrelevant which was a terrible, terrible move. You don't ever do that unless you either provide enough new content to last 6 months instead of 3, or if you have a plan to bring new content sooner, or if your old content is somehow still worth shit to keep the player base busy.
