Is there a technical reason why custom games are not in Destiny? I have great memories playing custom games in Halo 2.

Because as soon as they were added the forums would be flooded with, "why don't we get rewards for private matches? ". That is in addition to the lack of a "lobby" system for looking for groups just makes it impractical. Because of the lack of group making infrastructure in game, something like what you want will likely have to wait for Destiny 2. Even then the in ability to get any sort of rewards makes it a low priority because of "lack of player interest".

I randomly logged into battlefront the other day and they have already added private matches. Battlefront is very casual and not competitive to me, so that made me laugh.

Most players don't want it...quote from the crucible designer

3 RespuestasWell think about that. How exactly would you be able to put a custom game into a rpg or MMO (yes destiny is classified as one of those)? How would you? I'm not taking sides here.

it is called lazy development practices. back in the day, Bungie would bend over backwards for the players. These days, they are bending forward for Activision...

3 RespuestasProbably because people would use them to cheese crucible related bounties and quests. Other than that, no real reason.
