False. The USA was founded on Enlightenment and deistic values. The use of the Bible in courts/swearing officials into office is due a strong Christian majority existing in the population. Which is rapidly changing, as some judges are now being sworn in on the Qur'an as well.

You exactly defined separation of church and state, but it seems you misleadingly imply that it only goes one way; government control of religion. Realize that one religion, even if the majority practice it, should not be able to pass religious laws that infringe on the freedom of religion of others. Judea-Christian values were extracted from other religious texts and developed out of social norms aka traditions. Values and morals are living, they change as the perspective of the living changes. For example, Britain was also a Christian nation at the time of the founding fathers, which the founding fathers revolted from. Your argument relies on very little information to make a point about Christian values beings superior. The more information you get, the more you see that argument start to break down.
