Where is this speculation about year 1 raids coming from? Bungie hasn't said anything about updating them?
Giving the old raids a new paint job is a bad idea IMO. The novelty will wear off after a few weeks and people will then complain about a lack of new content again.
Move on people. Leave the past in the past.

They are already complaining, and this year there's nothing new coming, which is why I rather take old content over another KF challenge of event.
