I just watched the first reveal trailer of Destiny, that was published exactly 3 years ago. Link: http://youtu.be/EwOUi4JDC4o At 3:38, you can see the lighthouse "in it's finished" state. It looks almost identical as how it is today. Earlier in the video you of course see the reef as well. My theory is that this was the [i]original plan[/i] for Destiny, but they failed: 1. Launch sept 2014 House of Wolves should have been part of the launch game. The reef and lighthouse were "done" [b]3 years ago[/b]. The small storyline, prison of elders, trials of osiris should all have been included in the launch game. 2. Expansion I: TDB The Dark Below was supposed to be the first DLC, so this actually happened like planned. There were no signs of Hive DLC's 3 years ago. 3. Expansion II: TTK The second expansion continued the story of Crota, with the Taken King. 4. Sept 2015 Comet This major expansion was supposed to be huge, which in the end it was. Talking about all the changes besides the Taken King content, so major revamp of Quest system, light level system, infusion, etc. So this happened like planned, but the "story" content was intended to be the next step after Taken King, which would be a further story of the Cabal (like many think is the next step, following the story line). In short, Comet was the size of Taken King (huge changes core of the game) + Cabal content. [b]So...What happened?[/b] They completely ran out of time, panicked, realized the could never realize this roadmap anymore. So they: - Moved Taken King story to be "Comet", pushing the Cabal story to a later moment - Made Dark Below significantly smaller than planned (besides the raid, the expansion was incredibly small in size) - Cut out the fallen "House of Wolves" content from the original game (including Trials), to be used as the second expansion. This way, they suddenly had the actual required time to create the Taken King we know today.

Voting for Vex now for 2016 only because I want to see the Cabal for the Destiny Sequel. Some much can be done with the Cabal. Please NO MORE HIVE!!! less Taken and maybe more variety for the Fallen as I kinda feel they were given the short end of the stick. For Gods sake Randall the Vandel is stuck in no mans land by the forgotten shores hint hint.

I don't think it's gonna have a raid. I think it will be something along the lines of a couple of new strikes a small endgame activity like the prison. Possibly a new pvp mode

It would make sense if it was cabal but they ain't as interesting as vex. Cabal are cool (colossus ) but u know vex are complicated and that means fun and more lore

I want it to be cabal for one reason. This shit started with the vex raid and needs to end with a vex raid. Full circle, for continuity and a reason to move to Destiny2.
