Every time you die, or miss a kill, you can never blame it on the gun you are using or, the gun they are using. Same goes with abilities. You are dying purely because you are not thinking ahead. This game plays entirely on skill, not what kind of guns you`re using.
If you go around blaming something other then yourself for your deaths, you will never admit to your own mistakes, blaming the Game will never alow you to improve, rather you will not know where to improve upon.
I could go into the crucible with any kind of blue weapon and still play relatively good. Why? Because this game is all skill/hand-eye coordination based. This game requires concentrated practice. Similar to playing the guitar. Your fingers will just feel uncomfortable and sloppy. With concentrated use, you don't even need to look at the guitar to know the chords.
Unless of course you're using the Thorn, which rewards using a hand cannon like a fast rate of fire scout rifle.
Seriously, with perfect balance all you need to do is hit the guy three times anywhere, and he's dead, unless he's using the Ram.

The thorn needs an accuracy merf, not a damege buff. In the context of this post, I'm trying to show people that dealing with opponents using thorn is much better then blaming your deaths on it. Thorn can be easilly countered if you plan your engagments ahead of time, which is where the skill factor comes into play.

This is true. But I'm not advocating to buff Thorn in any way. I just think that the claim that this game takes skill is irrelevant when weapons with DoT like Thorn are allowed into competitive areas of the game. I've lost many engagements after killing a Thorn user simply because they sprayed their gun fast enough to accrue enough DoT to kill me. Honestly, a good compromise would be to stop the DoT when the user dies.
