We need this... especially now. You shouldn't be able to swap your weapons out in Trials. People are switching to Ice Breaker and sidearms now that special weapon ammo isn't common in the first 30 seconds of the game. Locking weapon switching would prevent this and would also prevent people from switching to Truth on heavy round. Once the game starts you should have to stick with your set up. You have plenty of time to see what your opponents have while you're waiting for the game to start and you should know what weapons you perform best with from regular Crucible.
This is a reasonable solution for some problems that we face now.
Please note that I said Trials only since it is a competitive mode and should have no part in this exploit.
Or just take away special boxes and you spawn in with special and that's all you get for that Round.
I like the suggestion above more than mine. Thank you NoLandBeyondUrMom for the suggestion.
Actually, changing your play style, and not your loadout, is exactly what a lock out would intend to do. It would emphasize strategy, tactics, teamwork.
This is a great idea. Prevent weapon swapping, remove all ammo boxes, and watch the K/Ds fall like it was raining hammers. Plus matchmaking. I would ignore my family and play this all weekend.
Necrobump? Yeah, this needs to happen.
-
So like banning and protecting guns, supers and grenades in BLOPS 3? I like the idea but bungie will never do that.
-
Locking in weapons is a stupid idea and will never pass through. Losing all your ammo when swapping special weapons even when you're dead is a better idea.
-
1 Respuestalol funny thing would be for a special weapon rotation week 1 only snipers week 2 only side arms week 3 only shotguns week 4 only fusion rifle

Editado por bedrankt: 2/17/2016 2:40:17 PMThe point for the players is to counter the players that swap to ice. I just go in with the no land. And it has worked for me. Why are you so set on going 3 on 3 only primary.... then every1 will use the noland. So ban the weapon.... and -blam!- the only free choice we have in the game is gone... if you cant handle players that use those gun dont complain but get better. Bitchers like u are the reason so many changes are being made to pvp. In y1 there werent any big problems just that every1 was using thorn and the noobs that didnt have it were complaining....

6 RespuestasI think these posts are so idiotic. You can't lock weapon loadouts. Period. If people having special ammo 10 seconds before it's available in the special box is affecting you winning or losing then YOU are the problem.
-
5 RespuestasJust make it so that if you switch your special ever you lose all ammo for it
-
I don't think this is the right solution. I don't doubt that Bungie is collecting a lot of data for Trials and 3v3 to figure out what's happening with special and how to balance it. I think it's good people are offering feedback and coming up with ideas...but we don't have access to the data they do.
-
I don't like the weapon lock idea. If what I'm using isn't working against a team I would like to be able to switch weapons. Just reset ammo to zero when switching even between rounds and death
-
They should jusy fix the ice breaker bug that allows people to have ammo when switching
-
What about if they took all special ammo away between rounds and decreased special ammo box's spawn time? Just a thought.
-
I agree

Editado por cuzzybubba1: 2/17/2016 2:23:17 AMIt's so bad people were doing this in Inferno today so pathetic...
-
I say no, adaptability is a skill, if a team is shotty rushing me while I try to snipe I should be able to switch to a shotgun or sidearm or close range weapon to counter

69 RespuestasI don't play trials really but for a "competitive" playlist the following should be in effect: No inspecting your opposition. Ever. No radar. No heavy. Weapon / armor blacklist (icebreaker, invective, thorn, last word, truth, armamentarium, vestments, sealed grasps, etc) Also, map voting, switch sides after every round. You know, basic competitive rules to make it closer to what you'd see in a competitive arena. Destiny is a casual shooter at best, and that's why none of this stuff is included. Maybe they'll get there. Doubt it
-
Just make it so you lose all ammo when you swap even when you are dead or in between rounds.

4 RespuestasToO isn't competitive lmao

How about locking your special and heavy but letting you change your primary.
-
That whole special ammo thing was going to be a problem I knew it as soon as they patched it there would always be a way to get some. I still feel that sniper should be moved to heavy slot reason why is because it most of the time takes on shot to kill. Yes I know shotguns are the same way but you have to be close up on the person.

2 RespuestasThis horrible. Sorry, but if you enter a game and the entire other team is, say hand cannons, you'll want to switch out to a counter. Get off the forums and leave your sheltered life in the basement. Guess what? There will always be people better than you. That's life. Either through skill, money ("hacking" as you'd probably call it), looks, personality, and more. Get the -blam!- over it, and stop trying to impose your will and your rules, dictating how others should do things (to a game easier for yourself), Hitler.

As someone who doesn't play trials competitively this would irritate me. But as someone who understands the aggression of the competitive scene, which it's for... I get it.
-
What if I need to adjust my weapons to someone's play style? We should all just be screwed right? Because you don't know how to avoid a sniper lane. It should be everyone's fault because of that.

9 RespuestasIf I'm 319 light and I shoot a player who is 296 because they have icebreaker equipped will they die faster than a 300+ player?
