Everyone said SRL was dumb...
...but all I see in Patrol and Strikes are S-Class Sparrows. So someone has to have been lying.

Nightfall hands them out. Dumbed nightfall reward I have ever got. I would have taken a ghost over a -blam!-en sparrow. At least I could dismantle it for 3 marks. Rip destiny

1 RespuestaHey, I can't complain about SRL, I reaped the rewards big time! All my hunter helms are 315 or higher (this includes all exotics) 3 are at 320, Plus two helms on each of my other characters are 319. I have 3 cloaks at 320, two marks at 318, and 2 bonds at 318. I still have 3 cloaks in my vault, all 318's, and 4 helms at 315 and higher. All this by ranking up only one character (my hunter) to rank 5.5. You put in the time, you get the goodies! Can't wait for it to come back.

Hated the grind, but loved the actual racing. I propose Bungie finds a way to make sparrow racing a part of patrols. There could be boost gates scattered across the larger maps, and patrol missions that involve racing (against the clock or against other guardians if in a fireteam). Could add a little spice to patrols. And it would give me something to do with all my shiny new sparrows. :)

1 RespuestaMy friend created a character on day one, on my console. He got the character to level 3 back then, and decided Destiny wasn't for him. Along the way, I would share things about news that was happening in the game. Then sparrow racing came out, and was intrigued so he logged in. Low and behold, there were all kinds of goodies handed to him by Bungie, including a year one Red Death and the spark of light. This excited him going directly to level 25. The sparrow racing got him to level 40 and now he is 303 light. He played Iron Banner, has now done nightfalls, has quested for some exotics, and completed all story missions. If it weren't for sparrow racing, he wouldn't have come back.

i saw alot of people begging for sparrow racing.....then i saw a lot of ppl cry because Bungie was wasting their resources on something they cried for.....Bungie can't win....

It was dumb...but it was also an easy way to get 320 helms and class items.

The only reason you think everyone said it was Dumb is because of the minority who didnt like it coming on the forums crying about it, people who had a positive experience didnt bother coming on the forums saying how good it was because the forums are a negative place and they would just get shut down.

I wish I had got those new sparrows, but I'm not really a fan of racing games so I only played very little of it and only got to rank 1, I believe

5 RespuestasThe racing itself was okay but got boring quick. The drops on the otherhand were worth the grind for sure. Best shaders and sparrows ingame came from srl.

It was, but that's the only reason i had played destiny before Christmas, and it wasn't worth my time. But I do have a stupid ass racing helmet to show off.

Well, , , it kinda was. While it was great to get 320 gear and a faster, more durable sparrow, the event was just implemented horribly. The event felt like it was thrown together in a matter of days with the god awful sparrow physics, getting bumped off the map, hitting gates only to be sent skyward, someone slamming into you from behind and you explode, stopping after hitting the smallest rock on the track, Lag, and animation lag. It was a poor mans F Zero, only thing missing was Capt Falcon running around in blue spandex screaming show me your moves. Again it was great for the gear and a better sparrow, just badly implemented and needs some serious TLC to make it a viable event.

i hope they make more tracks and bring it back. it was a nice change of pace once i got the hang of it, but the same 2 tracks got a bit tedious....

1 RespuestaHated it. But ran it for possible gear. Mostly a solo player so was the best way to get over 300 drops.
