In some cases yes but they do definitely make it more enjoyable plus if battlefront EA wasn't Star Wars and had good graphics i wouldn't ever play it.
-
-
If you are on PlayStation graphics and sales make the game better.
-
It enhances the quality and makes the game more enjoyable for me at least
-
Hell no Story, gameplay, online co-op, and content
-
1 RespuestaI am a game dev myself, and I think, as long as you have smooth controls, the game is fine.
-
1 RespuestaNo. Why? Borderlands. Games are art to me so I see it as story, gameplay mechanics, characters, voice actors, and soundtracks being the most important things. I could careless if it was an 8 bit game.

2 RespuestasLook at Undertale, then you'll see

Graphic help in immersion, something a game strives for, an immersive story.
-
They contribute to a good game
-
Graphics definitely help add to the enjoyment but they don't make the game good. *cough* The Order 1886 *cough*
-
Graphics can only enhance an already good game. Graphics can't suddenly make it good.
-
No they help make a good game great, but good graphics alone won't make a game worth playing. Just look at The Order 1886.
-
They definitely make it better
-
It depends on the game but I think story mechanics are farther up their then graphics
-
I think it depends on the game. Gameplay is king, but a game can have a cool art style and not be going for photo-realism. I think it's a balance.
-
I prefer to have a balance of both graphics and gameplay
-
1 RespuestaNo, but bad graphics can ruin a good game.
-
No, prime example fallout 4.
-
In my opinion, it's not the graphics, it's how you use them. There are quite a few snes games that I find visually appealing, as well as other older games. You can have a hyper realistic game that will fail graphically if it's style is disinteresting.
-
No, just look at the original MGS games.
-
Gameplay but graphics are a nice bonus. Art style is above graphics. A brown fps with perfect graphics is still less interesting than a world like blood borne with unique character design or no mans sky with beautiful colors.
-
It depends on the type of game, if you're playing a game meant to be realistic like some shooter games, then graphics play a pretty big part, other than that though, I still play and enjoy really old games despite graphics
-
I feel bad for you if you think graphics make a game
-
Visuals are important, but never make a game worth playing by itself. Tight, well designed gameplay that keeps you engaged comes first, and the graphics should compliment that. Looking back, many games I remember the most for their visuals are games that had interesting art direction over raw detail. I've played a lot of beutifully detailed, but also shallow and boring games over the years.
