Like if one race commits the vasy majority of crime in a city why wouldnt the cops pay more attention to that race? Wouldnt it be a waste of time to pay attention to other races that commit less crime just to be "Fair"?
Same can be said for shoplifters. If a store has problems with a certain race stealing from them why cant the store watch that race more carefully when they enter the store?
Example: During the Stop and Frisk days in NYC people said that cops unfairly targetted blacks and hispanics more than whites. Blacks and hispanics had committed something like 90+% of gun crimes at that time. Logically speaking then wouldnt it make sense to stop and frisk blacks and hispanics more than whites since they were more likely to be breaking the law?

In the case of stop and frisk, not only was it unconstitutional, but it did not produce tangible results (the increase in guns found was minimal) and it also showed that white people were more likely to have weapons.
only 1.9 percent of frisks in 2011 turned up weapons and interestingly, according to the NYCLU, "a weapon was found in only 1.8 percent of blacks and Latinos frisked, as compared to a weapon being found in 3.8 percent of whites frisked.
You are correct. People need to grow a pair

Editado por IMAGE NOT FOUND: 1/17/2016 11:05:13 PMMy profiling of your thread shows you're an antisocial misanthrope and a danger to society. So I've called the police who will arrest you and throw you in the slammer! Another troublemaker is finally off the streets, and law-abiding citizens can rest easy :D

3 RespuestasHell yeah racial profiling works.

It's funny in customer service when handed a product to work on and you can tell them exactly what they want done before they open their mouths and they look at you as how the blam! Did he know

Shoot em and sprinkle some crack on them

Perhaps we should be more concerned about the reasons for these differences in crime rates in the first place. There is still a great deal of racial disparity in this country, and racial profiling will only increase that disparity and make it worse.
-
2 RespuestasHell yeah! check every white kid before he walks into a school or university
-
2 RespuestasNo. It's never right to stop a person just because their race has committed a large amount of crimes. It wasn't right, and it never will be. A police officer should only stop suspects for a crime.

3 RespuestasEditado por Oak_Khan: 1/16/2016 7:30:27 PMBroken window theory has been effective, so why not. But, for example in the case of drugs more white males use it than any group yet more minorities are arrested on drug related charges. I would apply this to all groups based on research and honestly it wouldn't be based on race but wealth.

2 RespuestasLol. I remember in Chicago cops pulled over cars to try and find drugs legally. They pulled over more black people than white people. However more white people were the ones with drugs.

This poll is wrong on so many levels. You can't judge a group on the majority. Not all Germans were -godwinslaw!-, for example.
-
When you first segregate a people based on race, then reduce their chances of success by denying rights and opportunities via education and health care. It's you who is responsible for the crime not "them"
-
1 RespuestaThis poll is messed up.
-
1 RespuestaIt isn't the race causing the crime. Just put poor folk on police watch.
-
1 RespuestaWhy am I getting crapped on for how I was born. I didn't choose to be black. I think maybe psyche profiling is more important. Like if you see a guy walking around with his pants around his knees dapping everyone up, that's suspicious. Not, "well, most black people do it, so"
-
1 RespuestaEveryone deserves the benefit of the doubt.
-
Then the police should stop white men before they walk into schools, movies, libraries, and any other building with a lot of people.

Yes. You shouldn't base everything on unreliable likelihood calculations.

5 RespuestasEditado por Pyrohydrant: 1/16/2016 2:17:07 AMcriminal profiling: Lets say I'm a policecop in a high crime area this area is known for the worse kind of crime and its late at night and I see a woman on the street and I go to her in my patrol car to ask her "what are you doing at this time of night in this neighborhood and harass her with questions. Racial profiling: Alright I'm a policecop once again, its beautiful day in this low crime area people are joy riding, kids are having fun, until I see a Latino man just walking not doing anything and I walk up to and harass him with questions There's a difference you see, it just happens that ethnic minorities just seem to be living these in high crime areas poor, areas so you get more people of ethnicity since they're the majority in that area, there are good cops keeping civil peace but then you get the bad ones who make a bad example of the policecop force Edit:Its not logical in low crime areas but definitely high crime area you should really just profile anyone regardless of race

1 RespuestaThe answer depends on your goal. If you're seeking order and security, it's okay. If you're seeking liberty and equality, it's not okay.
-
Profiling itself cam be useful. Racial profiling will only lead to wrongdoing.

Voted its ok just to help with the penis poll
