Too many scrubs in Oryx
Okay, playin hard mode for 6-7 weeks, went from beating oryx on 1 , then 2 characters. Last week I best Oryx on all 3 characters by Thursday, but this week . . . Nothing.
It's Friday, no wins, no emblems, just poor players. I'm not a hateful person, but this has got to stop. All these players that don't know the mechanics, need to stop pretending they do. They are breaking teams up. I've been on teams as much as 4-5 GREAT players and only got as far as 3rd oryx round ! And 3 good players quit cuz of one bad.
I'm prob going to have to do normal oryx just to get the emblem so the elitists will let me play with them.
I've heard the strangest excuses:
>"I thought Titans kill the Knights"
>"My knight didn't spawn"
>."I don't own a sniper rifle"
Yeah, one guy made us wipe 3 times cuz he keep getting killed by adds in shade sequence cuz he said he had no heavy ammo, no heavy synthesis. I told him to use phone app - he said none of his characters do. WTF?
It's bad enough to waste a round to get our supers up, much less 3 rounds so you can have 5 fckin Rockets !

Edit : Finally happened, found a clan/ group of friends who needed one more. You know you got a good team when you always get to 2nd shade or more every run. Feels good.

Challenge mode with the 317 warlock: found a good team, we almost got it, then somebody had to leave and the team collapsed. Next four teams were chattering elementary school kids, or in one case, two arguing teen brothers. Next team had two squeakers, they sounded a little older and were talking about the game, but my brain was fried from all the squeakers and I didn't think I could handle it so I left immediately. Next team was very good. We got it on about the fourth try. With 316 titan: By this point I am advertising for "mature teams". I don't get as many invites, but when I do, the teams are better. First team almost gets it done. Me and the other titan are up top and killing ogres fast. One guy keeps dying. Half the team quits. When replacements come in, the new titan wants to kill ogres from below instead of up top. I die a couple times getting used to it but we get in a rhythm and get it done in four or five tries. With 315/313 hunter: My hunter is my third character and I lack confidence in jumping unless I wear Bones of Eao. We started off with a friendly UK group with titan bubbles down mid. Someone left and the new titan wanted to go up top. I switched to Bones, dropping me to 313. The runner was slow and didn't call out when he had the relic, causing deaths on plates, including me. After a lot of trying, we got in a rhythm, killed all four ogres, all four knights, were DPSing Oryx - and someone died for no known reason. Half the team rage quit and I looked at who was left and also quit. I don't think the actual challenge is that hard, it is just hard finding good teams. And, I am not saying "I am awesome but these losers screw it up." I am average - good at some things, not good at other things. I do not carry teams. I think if everyone is 311 and patient, you can get it done. But it is a drag spending 2+ hours trying, while your team keeps losing and replacing people, so you are forever wiping to get new people in and forever having to get in a rhythm with new people.

3 RespuestasIf you find a group you mesh well with man, Add them to your firneds list. Message them during the week and ask if they wanna do it again. Once you find a solid group of people (isn't that hard) you can get it done no prob. I have 3-4 guys i run with every week. and we usually bring in a couple of randoms if we need. We haven't had any issues man. Stop spamming LFG and just msg people you have meshed well with before. You are making it painful on yourself.

3 RespuestasWhat I've been noticing is that people stay on the plates after the relic runner says " I GOT THE BRAND!!!" That is your que to get the -Blam- off the plate!! If you didn't kill your knight call it out... Your fire team will help you.. It's way better to keep someone alive then die...

I feel u man.played with alot of ppl this week .shit i play with alot of ppl every week lol.ive had to boot a total of four ppl because they were bad.couldnt kill knights and giving excuses after we explain.no knight strat has ppl minds butt -blam!-ed. Killing knights is so much easier than letting ogres run around the map lol if u want to run it in an hour ill help

I think I was lucky with a good group and knocked out 2 of my 3 characters.. but I do feel your pain... getting my hunter through has been a test of patience.. ill try again tonight.

Was doing hard challenge mode oryx today we wiped 2 or 3 times. But we did it the very next time without anybody dying. This was my first hard mode completion. I got the pulse rifle with firefly at 320 attack.

6 RespuestasWe had a scrub squeaker who in short order: Shot his tether BEHIND the opening thrall capturing only one thrall. He did this three different times at startup. Couldn't kill his knight. I wish I could see what he was doing because it would have been aggravating. He also didn't call out for help so we didn't know we lost an orb until the stagger sequence. Post-stagger we get ready to take down the knight and thrall. He gets teleported into the shade realm and dies. He got mad at the rest of US because he decided that the best time to switch his weapon from Touch of Malice to another primary was at this moment...and blamed US for not informing him of when HE was teleported in. It's not like he couldn't have swapped his primary during the 30 seconds after staggering Oryx...no of course not.

Too many people using the word "scrub". I've gotten to the point that i believe everybody that uses the word "scrub" is a teen year old, if not in age then in the head.

(Tripple jump + bones) he failed 5 times in a row to get the relic. Another guy asks where the knights spawn. Another one asks if we do no knight strat to do the challenge. A support titan who uses his rocket launcher to kill the ogres.

2 RespuestasI have completely given up doing the raid because ppl can't do oryx. They simply can't. I was just so tired of spending 3 hours on oryx cuz ppl don't understand how to do anything. I have yet to try challenge mode this week because LFG groups are shit. This challenge isn't even that hard. I much prefer this strat to kill oryx more than the no knight strat because this is how I originally killed oryx the first time.
