Pvp feels like complete garbage
What the hell happened?
Flow of matches is god awful and lag is at an all time high. Even games of straight green bar feel terrible at times.
Current state is almost unplayable if you want a remotely enjoyable experience.
Thanks for all the responses, I'm glad that I'm not the only one unsatisfied with pvps current state. We definitely need to let Bungie know when things fall out like this.
I've noticed quite a few comments hinting at skill based matchmaking taking over the general connection based system we've seen for the longest time. I think it would be pretty sketchy for Bungie to do this and say literally nothing of it when we just had a major patch, I guess I wouldn't be too shocked though given the amount of deception we've seen over the last year.
Almost 400 replies guys! Keep supplying your feedback! We all know something is up bungie, we want our game back.

1 RespuestaI'm not entirely sure if it has definitely switched to skill based matchmaking but it has definitely been laggier than usual. Played a control game today where every single player in the lobby was lagging. Don't know if most people playing SRL is maybe a factor, diluting the playerbase further.

There is constant lag. Matchmaking is terrible. Blink and TLW/Shotguns everywhere. Full of scrubs.

27 RespuestasI got in a control match yesterday, with someone on the opposite side who was spamming armor of light, Mida, and a damned Felwinters lie. Not once did this person play the objective, but what did they do? Ran around, like it was WW3 and got 47 kills.. All he would do is put a bubble down, and conveniently pop in and out of it whenever necessary. I normally don't get upset about a video game, but that was pretty annoying.( I won't say who it is because I'm pretty sure I can't.?)

I don't think pvp is the most boring thing in destiny but I kinda thing pvp does need to add a little more pvp content into their pvp/muiltplayer.

Yes I agree. PvP seems quite boring I enjoyable and mainly just plain crap. Alright I've had a 2 week break as I was on holiday and I may be a little rusty but it's just seems pointless at the minute. In enjoying sparrow racing which is the only thing keeping me playing this game (okay lie, it's the only game on PS3 that has a CHANCE to be entertaining) so something needs to be done. Either new maps/ game mode or something needs to be done at Christmas.

i think that the skill based match making might be a thing, look: I'm from Brazil, where there is a solid amount of players, but even so, I couldn't find any lobby with Brazilian players, resulting in a solid red bar.

It seems as though the lag began with the latest patch. There was lag here and there before the patch, but after 2.1 it seems to pervade through every lobby that I play. I've got a 100mbps internet connection, hard wired to my router and I still see the top people on my teams with a red bar, toting their flawless year two medal. Not only do I believe that the weapons still need balance, but the connection problems and lag need some work to make pvp enjoyable again.

1 RespuestaSeems like weapon balance and lag are an impossible task for Bungie to master. Ok lets play SRL instead, oh thats lag central too. Ok what about some new DLC so we can avoid the lag festivals, oh thats not happening either. Well at least I can level up a new character from scratch for $30 YIPPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.

1 RespuestaYes. Look at the kds of my titans with the defender banner (year 1 characters) and then my new main (golg. Challenge banner, created in year 2)... It is like I've never played crucible before. Lag dominates my gameplay now... No comparison anymore. I do really badly cuz I can't handle somebody who teleports from the left to the right, it is just no fun... [b][i][u]literally every lobby!!!![/u][/i][/b] Pvp is the only reason why I still play this game... If bungie doesn't fix that asap I'm out once and for all. Bungie had many chances now. I'm sick and tired that they always focus on money focused priorities and ingame issues are irrelevant. Yelling cussing and insults on the forum are the only language they understand. Otherwise they wouldn't have nerfed so many things to crap. Crybabies are the loudest voices here and it always pays out for them. It is time that bungie focusses on solving bigger game issues. Don't you think?

Yup ever since the new patch pvp have been so laggy. just like you said even all green bar games feel a lil weird. Kills/damage registering late...but hey who needs dedicated servers right

I can live with the meta and matchmaking, but shots not registering has turned gunfights into RNG. Losing to a better player is one thing, but losing on a roll of the dice has made crucible pointless.

I have definitely noticed more laggy gameplay lately. I'm not sure if something changed or if I just notice it more now, but it seems like shots don't immediately register at times or I will sometimes get headshots that I swear I missed and other times I will miss head shots or body shots that I was looking right at the guy. It's funny because I feel like bungie has been catering more to pvp lately with events and updates, but I always thought of destiny as a pve experience first with pvp as another activity, so it didn't bother me when I felt like they didn't devote major resources to pvp. Now I feel like they are devoting resources but the play experience is sub par to other multi-player fps experiences. By play experience I mean the actual programming and infrastructure, not necessarily game modes, weapons balancing, etc. It just doesn't seem as smooth and cohesive or responsive

I am used to the red bars and people general long lagging, but this is the first time when it feels like I am lagging when I have a full green bar. I feel slow, sluggish, and just off. Strafe snipes not hitting, quick draw shots not hitting. The analog sticks aiming feels off. It's like a 30% chance every time I log into destiny that feel will be right. I can put up with laggers, but when the entire game feels sluggish and I feel off it drives me nuts

1 RespuestaActually it feels the opposite for me. I played some crucible yesterday and it felt very balanced. I even dusted off thorn and gave it a blast and it's still a lot of fun to use. It wrecks and I know people who get killed from it will be crying like bitches so I get a laugh out of it.

3 RespuestasThe lag is crap. Its so bad right now i am thinking of quiting destiny pvp. First gonna try better, faster internet(wanted to do that anyway have 120 mb/s now upgrading to 200 mb/s). If that doesnt work i am done. And thats a shame because i really like destiny pvp in general.

I shot a guy 6 times in the head I died then he ran off I hit a guy in red health no health went I saw a guy floating in the air for ages and he killed me with a shotgun from miles away
