Read more books. Just because they both believe in Jesus Christ doesn't mean they are the same. Jews also believe in Jesus, they just don't view him as the son of God/messiah

Maybe you should try learning the words in books that you read. It would probably be beneficial for you. Christian - A person who has received Christian baptism or is a believer in Jesus Christ and his teachings. Mormons and Catholics both receive Christian baptisms and believe in Christ and his teachings. So...they are both Christians. They ARE however different denominations. I'll let you look that last one up yourself.

It also has a lot to do with the soteriology (means of salvation) and eschatology (the end times) Sorry-furute professor here. Love these conversations!!

I agree the baptism are very different. Both in how they are performed and what criteria must be met by the person beforehand. I must admit I'm not familiar with Protestant baptisms, but I know that both Catholic and Mormon baptism are done in the name of Christ. I imagine Protestant would be the same but am not certain.

No you are definitely right. All three are done in the name of Christ, it's just the meaning behind it which is different. In catholicism, it just be done for salvation. In protestantism, it is a symbol of one's commitment to God, and I'm Mormonism, it is more of a representation, but they don't acknowledge any other forms of baptism. They also have a baptism for the dead. (some forms any way).
