What is an average kd?
I want to know what a skilled kd, and average kd and below average kd is. Also, if you could please site any sources or state that it's your option please.

From what I read on destiny tracker is that 2.0 is in the top 1%.

Average K.D? 1.0. You always want to shoot for at least breaking even. Going positive beyond that is good, the higher the number the better.

Average is .85-1.1 above is above that and below is below that

Above 1.0 and you're above average. In my experience, you're a good player if you have a 1.4+ ratio. However, kd isn't everything; lots of trial and error early on can ruin your kd (like what happened with me) and trying new things can also ruin your kd. Edit: It could be around 0.9 also because of suicides.

2 RespuestasK/D doesn't matter and I'm slightly above average according to K/D. Playstyle plays a huge role in determining K/D. Since I play aggressively, I can die quite often compared to someone that camps in the back. That doesn't mean I'm less skilled, it just means I play the objective more (my captures and offensive kills are in the top 3% and 1% respectively, according to Destinytracker). In fact, according to the same tracker, I am in the top 5% of players overall but my K/D is only in the top 22%.

1.1 is around average. Above 1.4 is whats above average imo

2 RespuestasDecent might be somewhere around 1.5ish, maybe slightly lower? I'd say I'm a little better than average hovering between 1.7-1.8. Most of the really good players I've run into have been 1.9+. On a side note, if anyone can answer this, when you delete characters, do you lose medal score? I assume the answer would be yes, but I'm not sure.

there's actually a very factual way of determining the answer to your question in every category. Because words like "good" and "average" are actually relative terms, all you have to do is look at the available statistics. if someone has like a 1.0, i think that puts that person around the top 50 pct. that would actually be pretty much exactly average. As far as skilled goes, that definition would have to be decided by you. Good would be different to every person. For me personally, anything in the top 10 pct in the entire world is pretty good. Last time i checked, that is currently around a 1.4. But to a 2.0 player, 1.4 is trash. So that good and bad is going to be debatable, but average is actually something that is fact and can be proven. You can reliably say someone is above or below average and have it be fact, as well.

Some people like to have fun and play out of their comfort zone or mess around with friends. Me and my clan like to all use the same guns every different game like all NLB, only shoulder charge, grenades & melee, etc. Keeps crucible from going stale. Also some people may have started off really bad in crucible and finally picked up, but their K/D was horrible from the start so they can't fully pick up a high K/D

Well I did some research K/D doesn't really mean shit. All day today I was on destiny tracker trying to get some people to carry me to the lighthouse because I'm only average. I kept getting people with 1.3-1.4 messaging me to play and they all sucked. They kept getting negative K/D's and I was getting positive. WTFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF
