Help me buy a bass offtopic!
I'm getting a bass guitar for Christmas! I'm a beginner(ish) so I need help getting it. What exactly should I look for, best brands (or no brands), stuff like that.
Ps: I know you have to try them out yourself and get what you like, but I'm just looking for tips.

In learning the instrument, you can do alot of damage to a nice bass. Wait until you've mastered it, before getting a nice one. Bass is easy. It shouldn't take very long. A good starting point would be a squier custom modified jaguar bass. It has alot of extras and its very versatile. You can get a great sound out of it, for any style.
