If I was never into pc shooters and basically a filthy casual on destiny, would you still recommend this setup? Been thinking about buying a scuff or the new Xbox elite controller, but this has me curious.

No i wouldn't. It only helps you if your a pc gamer. If you're on xbox get the elite.
