Having read the weekly update, they said sorry to people who use the one bubble strategy for golgoroth.
This was talking about challenge mode, so what do people think they mean? And what other tactics could we use to beat him?
Let's see if we can figure it out before it even launches!
Edit: my idea is that each bubble is linked to a specific guardian. When that bubble is dropped, golgoroth focusses on that guardian. However it doesn't respawn, so everyone has to be competent at dealing with the gaze and the orbs.

The orbs probably don't resplendent until all 6 have burst
-
Well, my team used to do all 6 bubbles when the raid first dropped so I think we'll be fine. They probably just meant that the bubbles won't respawn which isn't that big of a deal.
-
I think any orbs left when the gaze is lost, go into the tablet of ruin. This, I would love to see. I always suggest running 6 orbs strat, nobody else ever wants to do it tho.
-
1 RespuestaWell since it said one bubble strategy I feel like the bubbles won't respawn
-
4 RespuestasWait. You didn't already hear about the Challenge Mode stuff? Warpriest: kill him before he calls upon a monolith Golgoroth: every fire team member grabs gaze in one round Oryx: ...forgot
-
Op sorry but you are way off base. This is Bungle, do you not remember how pathetic the differences were from easy to hardmode? And they claimed they started with hardmode first. The same mode they guaranteed would need 6 people to complete yet there are vids of teams of 2,3 and 4 completing it with relative ease. Golgy challenge = Can only use a pool ONCE. So use R1 then L1. That is all. They will NOT code in anything beyond that. This is just something they can use to keep the addicts and casuals going for another 3 weeks.

1 RespuestaWhen I was killing Oryx, I noticed that his orb/stomach kept taking damage after he was exploding & dying. I was the only one shooting, but I was wondering if it meant anything if we were all to deal DPS on him during the final bit
-
1 RespuestaIm confused with the way they worded it, so is there or isnt there an actual challenge mode or is it just a weekly challenge in the raid? And the golgorth challenge will most likely be youll have to rotate all 6 gaurdians to take the gaze in 1 go and use all bubbles as well.
-
You have to do the six orb strat. I find it easy with my raid team
-
1 RespuestaConsidering that it says in the corner of the screen "failed to capture Golgroth's Gaze" when the gaze ends my guess is that we have to kill him in one gaze grab
-
Your theory is impossible since the challenge modes are not something you have to do. Therefore you should be able to do the raid how ever you want 😊
-
It will be the same with the following modifier: Dismantle mines, yes?? :-)
-
Challenge mode is NOT a new level for the raid. You can still do golgoroth with the 1 orb strategy, you just won't receive the extra rewards
-
So $10 says as soon as challenge mode comes out for Golgoroth we see... "Golgoroth 1 Bubble strat Challenge Mode!!!" "Golgoroth Challenge mode EASY Mode!!" list goes on :3
-
2 RespuestasWhat if bungie isn't going to change anything and is just going to see what we come up with, and patch all the ideas we have then launch challenge mode. ILLUMINATI CONFIRMED!!!
-
1 RespuestaKill Golgoroth w/o losing his gaze.
-
Could be only 3 bubbles spawn in and don't regen or there is an order the bubbles must be popped to do damage to him... many options and ideas lol I'm looking forward to it. What is the photo clue about tho? oryx floating away in a target..... kill only with sniper riffles?!
-
Waste of time, make something else please!!
-
Bubbles dont respawn you have to alternate around the room...quote me im sure thats the least of it...there will he more modifiers
-
You can only hold the gaze once per person. Bubbles won't regenerate. Something along those lines is my guess
-
3 RespuestasThere is a 2 gaze grabber method you can use where you start with the front left bubble, as many of us do, but one remains on the platform behind golgo and once his gaze for grabber #1 expires, #2 grabs it immediately and everyone jumps to the opposite pool. Then rinse and repeat through all the bubbles. It sounds harder than it actually is, but it isn't too bad once you get into a rhythm. Important to note that the 4 in the pit should have 310 or close too it snipers and a night stalker tether and WOL bubble doesn't hurt either .
-
You must likely have to use the two gaze holder strategy
-
Gonna have to beat him without losing the gaze
-
1 RespuestaI figured they were gonna do this for HM Kings fall. But orbs not respawning was my idea. Also the pillar lights up with failed gazes and deaths.
-
2 RespuestasProbably have to go couterclock wise or take down 2 at once or take certain ones down before they explode and kill everyone.
-
I think it will be something along the lines of not losing the gaze once got it
