[b]The world, it ended centuries ago
War broke out, between the mighty lands of America, and the militaristic empire of Russia, and the outcome was years of harsh heat and radioactive fallout, and then the winter began
200 years later, when the winter was at its prime, your Elders have commanded that your Faction remain secluded, and not to interact with any others outside of your tribes
But that all changed with you, when you met others, the mighty elves of the Northern Lands, and the small and stocky dwarves of the South
For centuries the whole world was in turmoil, because the nuclear winter that they where in was making life hell on earth, and the only thing to do

He'd found more Trolls than he'd expected, but it wasn't all that bad. Their fat could be used as a fuel if gasoline or diesel wasn't available (not advised), and it made for one hell of a fire-starter and wildlife buffer. The meat of a Troll isn't exactly edible, but that's why he always stayed on or near the coast, since Troll meat was perfect for attracting sea life when the ice could be broken through. Besides that, the bones were useable, and the skin could be made into a tough leather after the right steps are taken..... 'Oh why bother, I'll handle it tomorrow, its not like it'll go bad over night.' He leans back against a boulder, and kicks up the fire he'd rekindled this morning. Satisfied that the fire would keep and his rifle was close, he nods off to sleep.
