I haven't played Destiny since October 23.
It may not seem like much, but I was flat out addicted to this game. It was at one point the only thing I would do with my free gaming time..
That is until Bungie shot themselves in the foot about 13 times in a row.
I won't go into full absolute detail, but between the time-gated quests, time-gated exotics, locked armor exotics that still aren't in the game, crap raid and nightfall drops, no elemental primaries, raid gear being worse than vendor gear other than light levels, lying about keeping track of the drops you have so that next time you'll get something better, re-skinning a legendary weapon from last year and making it into an exotic with a dumbed down perk, no guaranteed drops from hard mode-
All of these things are bad decisions in my opinion.. I know some people might like these ideas, but it's such a slimy thing to do to get people to keep playing. The new raid drop system is slot-machine simulator at its finest.
I'm not gonna go delete my characters and say im leaving, but I will leave them where they are, and hopefully Bungie will make some sort of announcement that will impress me as much as the hype they built before The Taken King came out; I highly doubt this because that will be pretty hard to top.
All I know is that I haven't had a feeling of need nor want to play this game. I was pretty addicted, but Bungie found a way to get me to stop playing their game, and I applaud them for that, because no one has ever gotten me to stop playing it before.
Once again, as the title says, thank you, Bungie, for curing my Destiny addiction.

The incentive to keep playing is totally gone.. i have no need to be over, lets say 300 light.. The raid weapons are non desirable, you can still compete well in iron banner and trials at 300 light.. Personally i feel the KF raid has been the best so far in terms of design.. But why play it?? Seriously?? I wont even begin to comment on all the time gated BS..

1 RespuestaHaven't played since November 10, and you know why. I still come to the forums for now; they are still more entertaining than the game. I read all the frustrated posts and think "I was once like that. Now I wander the wasteland, stress-free."
-
Double all that for me. And I guarantee the happy clappers who shoot down posts like these will be saying the same stuff in a few months time when they're also sick of the game.

1 Respuesta
lying about keeping track of the drops you have so that next time you'll get something better
I remember them saying this and you're right, it was a blatant lie. They said something about the game being less likely to give you repeat drops also, that was also a lie, I get more repeat drops than ever now.

Yup! I agree! I still play with friends, but it's just one raid (the only one left) on tuesday. Now the problem is... I'm addicted to ESO LOL!!!
-
Agree and by the looks of it so do a lot of other. A real shame it's got this bad
-
Right on, man. All my hardcore Destiny buddies are right there with you. Another year of great game mechanics with a broken rewards system is not enough to keep us away with all these games coming out.

1 RespuestaOP, thank you for giving me the opportunity to mute you.

10 RespuestasI have no idea why people are all of a sudden angry with the raid drop rates. They literally haven't changed. At all. If you were fine with them when you played in year one, then literally nothing has gotten worse for you. People seem to think that you used to get a guaranteed piece of armor or weapon from every raid boss. But my memory is that I would quite often get nothing but shards of energy from Atheon, Crota, Templar, every boss!

Completely agree. Fallout 4 will have my attention for months it seems

It's these cookie cutting bull shit tactics that mad me stop playing. They destroyed their reputation in my eyes and I won't be purchasing any more content with bungies name on it.

Editado por JasperGTR: 11/12/2015 4:36:44 PMYou sit where I was this Summer, and I tried to get back in (I also took a few months off), but I haven't picked up a controller this week, and may only play sparingly to keep my kids company. I have zero desire to the raid yet (among other end-game content), as this RNG formula was apparently designed by a kindergarten drop-out. I only do PvP about 5 matches per week, because I like watching my kids tear people up.

Seeing similar stories all over the place and I am in the same boat. Just completed Kings fall HM on tuesday and I judge that as my personal barrier for completing the game. My desire to play Destiny daily is certainly gone now. Saying that I will pop back to complete the raid again. Just for fun really.

Bungie nerfed Destiny.
-
Yooooo that's exactly what happened to me, my gf would bitch I play too much ( and I did), but ever since Bungie completely dropped the ball on Raid gear and weapons and completely screwed up the leveling I can play other shit now, go back to the gym and actually enjoy my life. Cheers Bungie, your idiocy gave me my time back. I can't justify to my self playing a Raid for a couple hours just to get a piece of shit drop with low light. I used to grind the crap out of this game now there's nothing to play except Kings Fall for excrement. I don't do nightfalls and I don't give a shit what xur is selling and honestly it feels effing fantastic.
-
On year1 i hardly played any other games unless i had done all my weeklys, raids etc now since bungie have screwed up rng in the raid and nightfalls and made year 1 useless i can now say fùck off bungie with your broken ass rng drops and hello fallout 4 assassins creed syndicate 10 raid ghosts dropped in normal and not 1 has been above 304 yesterday my 304 warlock got a 300 ghost when he has a 304 ghost

I've actually decided just today to take a break from Destiny. Not quitting, and sure as hell not deleting anything. It just doesn't feel rewarding anymore. This was the second week in a row where my nightfall rewards were damn near insulting. I went 3 weeks where the only exotic drops I could get where crest of alpha lupi (seriously, that's it. Not even weapons). And just to top it off, I reluctantly ran the raid tonight after my raid crew asked me to, and was rewarded with only a set of gauntlets and more shards. I had almost 30 shards going in, it took 20 at the end, and my second reward was 2 more shards. It was a slap in the face and confirmed my decision earlier in the day to step back for a bit. Maybe I'll be back next week. Maybe I'll be gone till the next DLC. All I know is, my Titan will be spending some time away from the tower.

4 RespuestasThey need to fix hard mode badly. This game's "endgame content" is terrible.

Editado por Cats In Hats: 11/12/2015 7:37:59 AMDestiny failed to keep up with the times. Playing these new games showed me just how dated it is in only a year. No dedicated servers in 2015? Seriously? I chased the carrot on the stick for a year actually thinking they were going to fix their game. Too bad... So much potential wasted

I love this game but yes , the drops suck somewhat , i mean i did another raid and i got the same Gaunlets and Ghosts as t he first time ,ohhhh and i had them equipped and the same Pulse riffle , with more light so it went to my Black spindle
-
Same here but over a month for me. I did the hard raid for the first time tonight
