Any ideas on who the queen eris is talking to at the final cut scene in regicide? I was thinking hive, but the hive is the darkness (oryx makes many comments about the darkness in the final portion of the fight). Eris says she is afraid of the dark in another mission (where she teleports you). She also says the voices stopped when she is talking to herself/her queen. I may just be missing something (haven't read up on book of sorrows...or much of the grim cards yet).

Mara Sov. Her and Eris have been in contact ever since Eris escaped the Hellmouth. Them and Osiris have been planning something
-
Ah...didn't know they were planning something. Couple people have said it's here...not too long ago one of the theories was a different hive god. But between what oryx says in the regicide mission and wris saying she is afraid of the darkness I started doubting that theory.

How surprised would we all be if there was a hive queen and the death of crota and oryx was Eric's plan to obtain the crystal you see at the end for her hive queen I mean think about it she lived with the hive for years how? Eventually she'd be discovered
-
Yeah...but she does say she is afraid of the darkness, and the hive is essential the darkness.
-
We kill so we too are darkness
-
Not really...

It's possible

Maybe with the original story which has mostly been scraped.
-
It's most likely mara sov since eris is awoken
-
I thought she was human...but as guardians weren't the awoken outside the reef exiled or something?
-
Kinda, not really. It's more like discrimination. The Awoken Grimoire card:
It is said that the Awoken were born in the Collapse, descended from those who tried to flee its wrath. Something happened to them out on the edge of the deep black, and they were forever changed. Today many Awoken live in the distant Reef, aloof and mysterious. But others returned to Earth, where their descendants now fight for the City. Earthborn Awoken sometimes venture out to the Reef, hoping to learn its secrets — but they find no special welcome from the reclusive Queen.
So it could be her then. Still seems like there is more to her words than that...bit I could just be grasping at straws.
