How long did it take you to get your Exotic Sword?
Like the title states, I'm curious as to how long it took some of you to acquire your exotic sword.
Days, hours, etc.
Also, what sword did you pick up?
I'm currently trying to get arc ability kills and it's taking forever, so I'm pretty curious about the community and how long it took them.

Couple of hours for each one. Void sword took longest as I was doing it on my warlock and didn't have the right material finding ghost at the time... Ability kills was done by the time I had 2 of the rare materials...

Solar, few hours, and I'm in the middle of getting the arc one.

About a week for me. The PvP kills wasn't too hard, and I did it without smacking people with the hilt. Ability kills was simple (doing Dark Drinker as a Voidwalker is easy as pie), but material grinding took me 3 days to find the 10 pieces, ending with a stack and a half of Relic Iron. The rest was waiting for Armsday and clanmates to help with the strike.

Just now waiting for arms day for all 3 and the final part of the quests. Never thought I would have a use for the Xbox One snap ability. But when running around with the sword hilt getting ability kills it's good to put the TV on.

1 day for the extreme farming (this depend on luck) 2 hours for the rest of the quest

Just got one today after many weeks, and three previous tries with randoms (don't ask how that went)...all thanks to some one in this very forum who suggested the website the100. Two of us got our bolt casters, then we ran it again so the third guy could get his solar sword. It was amazingly easy. Very cool to finally do!

What class are you using? Also try using the hilt on the sword when charge gone.. Go dark beyond and hilt kill thrall

I have all three legendary swords, and I haven't finished the exotic quests yet, but they haven't been a priority until recently. It took me about 2 or 3 hours per character to beat the TTK main story and get the sword, that's about 6 to 9 hours total to get all three swords. I transferred them all to my Hunter, and it has taken me weeks to get them all infused to 280+. The legendary Sword Reforged quest (the one where you get PvE and PvP sword kills and then kill the knight dude) took me the better part of a day off. I only had to complete that once and I got the exotic Sword Reforged quest for all three. Yesterday I spent about 4 hours farming the materials. With my Nightstalker's improved radar I was able to get all 10 Relic Crystals and 7 Soliton Flares, and 25% of the void ability kills.
