Doesn't have to be, at the end of the raid he's holding on to the side of the dreadnaught so if he makes a mistake and loses his grip he's pretty f*cked cuz we'll tear apart his wings with the raisin bullets and then just a few more shots and the momentum would be juuust enough to push him away from the ship and send him off into space for all eternity
