Here's the scenario:
One guy joins you team for kings fall. He's 305 light and has no mic. He sends you a message saying that he's completed Every part but oryx because he can't find a team. He's got good raid gear and most of the fire team is saying to kick him. Do you kick him or let him stay?

If he can hear me, its fine. Also if he knows the strat and understands how to do it then its fine in my opinion.
-
Just depends if he can listen. I took a 274 into the raid they did fine. At the end of it they were 290 something with good gear. You just have to find a group of people that aren't garbage and have some patients to help you. I would just have that person without the mic float and kll ogers. Doesn't really require talking.
-
If he had multiple raid completions then I'd say yeah but if he hasn't beaten oryx, sorry mate.
-
Holy shit! Almost 200 comments!
-
I'll let him stay. Give the guy an opportunity before implementing judgment. Surprisingly enough I've, more often than not, found players without mics to be superior to many of those with mics.
-
Meaning he's done the raid before with no mic. Due to my ego I must best his other teams
-
No mic no play. The whole point of a raid is to communicate. If you can't do something as simple as having a mic in which they give you free with purchase of system. Then go eat a dick. Your not joining my raid team!!
-
I tend to watch those players like a hawk. They normally don't -blam!- around and seem to concentrate probably jammin' out to tunes. Lol
-
Let him help with ogres. No need to make callouts for that
-
Have him float for ogres whats hard about that?
-
Depends on if you specified mics in your posting, I'm not cool with people ignoring or lying about the qualifications I ask for, but if I don't ask or forgot then that's my bad and they're free to stay.
-
Everybody needs to communicate for Oryx. The other fights not so much
-
Yes if I asked him to join them I'll let him/her stay, but if people automatically join in unintended, then they're kicked
-
Let him stay.
-
Yes because i could find a player just as good with a mic easily on LFG
-
Honestly the entire raid could be done with no communication at all. It would be tough and would require people to be looking around a lot, but possible haha
-
Give him a chance, but if we are screwing up specifically because of him then he's gone
-
I'd give him a chance first and if he messes up over and over, then we kick him
-
Yes because I had that exact situation happen a few days ago and wow was that a mistake letting him stay, ended up having to kick him because he kept messing the whole thing up
-
No because I know that as long as you know the encounter and can hear us, it will get done. Now if it was tomorrow when hard raid is released, bye, cause for while we figure it out, we need everyone to communicate
-
As long as he can listen then he's fine. But if he is constantly jumping out of order or not helping with Ogres then it's see ya later
-
My first clear we had a dude who had no mic. We let him float and DPS ogres, which he did flawlessly. He even clutched a plate when we needed one. As long as the player can hear you and take instructions, it shouldnt be a problem.
-
I've gotten to oryx twice with 289+ light and then I found a team when I was 294 that let me
-
If they're receptive to instruction then I'd keep them. If they try to renegade that shit or dont listen I'd be fine with kicking them after a couple wipeouts
-
I let him stay, as long as he doesn't screw up a lot.
-
I've been relic runner many times with no mic cause it was charging, but then again they know I can run relic. Plus we have good team work.
